Oooh, I have the perfect answer ready for that what is the difference between a spot and a club pick!! A spot is that thing on your face and a club is what I'm going to hit you with if you ever make a stupid pick like this again. *giggles* I'm feeling silly...

the only reason I made this pick was just to see what most people would call spots/clubs after the name changed.

I'm trying to call it clubs. Spot will always slip out and they'll always be spots but new people will be confused for a bit.
I'll forget about the club thing in a few days though and I'll be calling them spots again.

"Spots" is so original! "Clubs" isn't! Neither is the new menu bar at the very top of the page, rather than under the logo- it's very generic!

the change to clubs happened awhile ago but we just never jumped on the clubs thing and have continued to call them spots. I think there may even be a pick out there on it from way back...lol

I'll try to remember to call them spots but it won't stick. I'm a leopard apparently and I can't change from spots to clubs.

well as papa said it makes sense to call them clubs for search purposes...no one will search for "fan spot". then again i am against fanpop growing in to a large site like you-know-what *shudders*...anyway..its so funny people are now complaining..its been changed for quite a while :D

debsie he said so on the other pick (which seems to have vanished) that this was the reason they changed it..he also said he still calls them spots.

edit: ah found it people know what a fan club is and people tend to search for fan clubs

im just so used to calling it spots instead of clubs. i just recently made a forum that says "new spot" in the anime spot. see? i called it spot..

Well they were spots when I started so I'm sticking to seeing spots, lol, clubs does sound silly.

I call them clubs...but that's only because I consciously try to edit everything I write, because my first instinct is to write "spots" everywhere. After I write anything on the site - comments, articles, forum posts, etc - I have to go back and edit it, changing every instance of "spots" to "clubs" before I click "submit". Seriously.

I use both names excessively actually.

I used to keep calling them spots until the transition took place and many users didn't even know that they used to be called spots.

They were called clubs when I first joined, I think. I can't remember seeing this change happening, anyway.
