boolander25 So, you wrote this article to state that people should just chill out with all the hate but you seem to drift from that thesis. You first state that you like Twilight best, yet list reasons why you don't like it? If your point of your article is to prove why you like both books, why give details that don't correlate to what you're trying to say? I probably went way more in depth with this than I should have (mostly because my English writing test is coming up and I've been watching WAY too much EEnE) but I'm just confused. On a lesser criticizing note, I like both books too and DEFINITELY agree there could've been some changes made in Harry Potter.

VampiresRevenge PreCal's not hard, it's just so excessive and when the heck am I going to ever going to use any of it? I'm not going to be an engineer or accountant when I grow up! I hate writing especially when I'm timed because I always get agitated from the pressure. I was writing up to the last minute today and threw in a bs conclusion so I'm pretty sure I didn't do too hot on it, haha.

themeganjoan You might just be the only Twilight fan I can respect. Thank you for being to civilized. I honestly would like to burn every copy of Twilight in the world, but that's just me. I can respect that other people have deferent opinions than mine, but I don't think we should be attacking each other over them.

MrsSiriusB I can't say this for every Potter fans in here, but honestly, half of the Potter fandom here has so low opinion of Twilight fans because there are quite a lot of Twihards out there who has the most ridiculous comments and bash Harry Potter like crazy and gives no good reason except for Edward or Jacob's attractiveness. Now, like I said, this does not apply for every Potter or Twilight fans, because I've seen many HP fan as well who attack anyone who likes Twilight, but that's mostly how it goes. I once got message from this absolutely insane girl (not here in fanpop) about how Twilight is the best thing ever and Harry Potter sucks and how I'm stupid. Please tell me how I'm suppose to feel after that. So my opinion on this whole thing is that both sides have major flaws, Harry Potter's being many of its fans' superior attitude and Twilight's being half of the die-hard fandom not able to give any proper reason or grammar and being ridiculously childish about it. Now, that is NOT true for all the fans in the fandoms. I know some of the most intelligent people who likes Twilight, and I've come across many Twilight fans here at fanpop whom in my opinion are very intelligent and extremely respectful and knows how to have a proper conversation with HP fans without going psycho. Everyone has their own opinions, but like you said, we're all humans, but unfortunately, because of that, we tend to fight an awful lot than we should. No opinion is wrong, and an opinion is NOT a fact. You like Twilight better, I prefer Harry Potter more, and that's that. You do have valid points here, but why is it that only Harry Potter is reprehended here? Shouldn't Twilight be mentioned here too, because I have heard a awful lot of insults towards HP from Twihards too.

traceyhp Kudos for your awesome article Salvatore! I agree with most of your points, and I truly believe in both fandoms having the same amount of unintentional hatred of one another. I've only read the first book of Twilight at that point and thought that the story was good, but I loved Harry Potter more. In my opinion, the one incident that cemented my view of Twilight is the fangirls that harassed me online almost every time I've logged onto the 'old social network' (Not naming it for discretionary reasons) because I had Weasley twin icons all over my profile. It's no secret that I like Harry Potter books and movies, but to be harassed and bullied by three girls all because of my choice of literature has made the Twilight books seem like they were co-written by David Koresh! :{ I didn't know why they felt like they could call me an 'immature slow girl reading a book wrote for little kids' like they did and not get told off right back, but long story short, the three twihard girls accounts were terminated, and I then knew well of the drama of internet harassment. But the overall dislike I had of them was instantly tagged to the whole Twilight series a just a way that the fans can harass anyone to the point of serious harm and get away with it. So I began looking for websites online to where I could escape the delirious twihards and talk to Harry Potter fans about the updates on the movies and came across Fanpop. I've originally joined under the Harry Potter spot, but there were some disrespectful comments made by the Twilighters from the Critical Analysis spot that lead me here. It was over three years after that awful cyber-harassment, that I've held on tightly towards my prejudices of Twilight fans until last month when I had met one (on here, of course) that didn't fit the stereotype. She has lead me to seek out other Twi-fans just as respectful, yet could defend Twilight against the Antis as her and I've found four more. If it wasn't for both 1000 reasons forums, I would have continued thinking that all Twilight fans are criminally insane and that the books should be banned to prevent their anti-social behavior. Special thanks to the mature Twilight fans that are respectful enough to debate with others without calling them out of their names and using misspelled, grammatical error texts. You guys are the awesome ones of Twilight fans and props to you! :D (Sorry about the length, it's just that I want to let some of the other fans know the reason why some of the HP fans [like myself] were instantly Anti from the beginning.)
