When I Started Watching Invader Zim: April 6 2001. i was 12 years old. i actually find this a little depressing. 11 years since they canceled, 11 years no progress getting it back.

What I Love Most About Invader Zim: insane humor, evil zim (real evil, not fake cartoony evil), and overall darkness. Invader Zim is really an adult cartoon dressed up as a children's show. No wonder it wasn't a hit with little kids... The older you get he more you'll love IZ.

Other Things I Wanna Tell You About:
I'm doing research on how much would it cost to produce new episodes myself. By that i mean fan script, storyboard, voice acting and animatics (if necessary), then hire some India firm to do the animation which is the time consuming and extremely labor intensive part that most fans simply don't have time for. I figure if fans volunteer and collaborate scripted and drafting each episode, then we use crowd funding to help pay for the animation cost. It costs $33,000 for 22 minutes of 2D animation. it seems like alot but if 10,000 people contributed $3.30 each it really isn't. If at least 10,000 people chipped in each time we could easily do all the unfinished episodes except for the movie for about $35 per person. $35 to most of us (1st gen fans) isn't very much, we can cut back on spending for a few weeks and scrape together 35 bucks.
I'd put this up and test interest if the IZ fandom still had some active forums running...
