Little Mix have passed on some words of wisdom to this year’s acts ahead of the first Live Show this weekend.
The 2011 champs - who are gearing up to the release of their third album Get Weird on 6th November - also revealed who they’re backing for glory.
When asked what advice they’d give to the class of 2015, Jesy Nelson stated: “I would say, try not to be sick”, before bandmate Perrie Edwards added: “Don’t get to ahead of yourself and enjoy it as you don’t know how long it’ll last.”
With the girls becoming the first Group to win The X Factor, they also revealed who they think has a good chance of following in their footsteps, with Jesy stating: “I am backing
Perrie said: “We also love Anton, he’s so cute”, with bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock agreeing: “Don’t you think it’s about time we have a voice like that because there’s nothing like that out there at the minute.”
As for the controversial return of Nick’s boy Mason Noise, Leigh-Anne was keen to show her support, stating: “I don’t like that Mason got booed”, with Jesy joking: “Yeah, it’s not Jeremy Kyle alright!”
Jade Thirwall also seems to be on Team Noise, claiming: “I don’t think boos should be allowed, it’s mean. He did kick off but we all have our bad days and have a little kick off”, with Jesy adding: “He’s just passionate.”
When asked about the criticism The Boys’ mentor Nick Grimshaw has received since replacing Louis Walsh, the girls revealed they’ve got Grimmy’s back.
“We love Nick, he’s so funny”, noted Jesy. “I think he’s got a good chance of winning this year.”
Perrie went on to state: “Nick is incredible, I think when we get to the Live Shows he’ll give people a shock because he’s amazing. He’s really passionate and I think he’ll really fight for his contestants and that’s what I love about him.”
With One Direction star Louis Tomlinson acting as a Guest Judge this year, Perrie went on to state that “it would be amazing” if Little Mix were ever offered the chance, but admitted: “We’ve said it must be such a hard position to be in because we’ve been there ourselves.
“You know that you’re holding their life in your hands, so it must be really really hard and it’s not as glamorous as it seems.”
Jade went on: “Just imagine at Judges’ Houses if we all went to a different Judge?”, before admitting that she’d be keen to help out fellow Geordie Cheryl or Simon.
The girls are set to make their return to The X Factor stage on Sunday, with the foursome remaining tight-lipped about their performance.
We tried our best to get the gossip, with Jesy concluding: “Just expect a surprise. You’ll just have to watch!”
The X Factor returns to ITV this Saturday at 8pm, and you can catch Little Mix in action this Sunday on the results show, also at 8pm.
