Plot Story:

Kagome Kagome
The bird in the cage
When, when will you come out?
In the evening of the dawn,
The crane and turtle slipped.
Who stands right behind you now?

Kagome Kagome, or Circle you Circle you, is a Japanese child's game. One where the person who was it, or the Oni (demon), sat in the middle while the rest of the children link hands and spin in circles around the Oni chanting the song. When the song is done, the children stopped spinning. If the person who stood behind the Oni was called on, the person behind the Oni becomes the new Oni and the game continues. If the Oni guesses wrong, the Oni remains the Oni.

Many many years back, a few people were both cursed and gifted with the ability to see spirits. These people were called the Shishame, or Eyes of the Dead, due to their ability to see the dead. Nothing was tended to be made of them besides their slightly longer life lengths and this special ability. That was until a few hundred years back when the spirits of young children began to convert souls into demons. This was the beginning and the first appearance of demons. How were they converted? Through the use of Kagome Kagome.

As time passed Shishame grew to be a slightly larger population and continued to expand due to the few but occasional spawning of demons. The ways to become a Shishame was either by inheritance, surviving an event that should have killed you, or being overly exposed to the dead and demons. Within time, about a sixth of the population were Shishame and the demon spawning still remained as a random occurrence.

About 20 years back from today's date, a 7 year-old Shishame, who knew her abilities as a Shishame after being orphaned, viewed one of these ceremonies as a demon was formed. She was the first to realize the cause of these demons that appeared out of nowhere. After living on her own for a while and researching this, the Shishame woman created an organization GOKEMA, or, if unscrambled, Kagome. With this organization she took advantage of this knowledge and put it to her own use, forgeing demons of her own taste that followed her command (achieved by something that will be explained in that rp as time passes).

What was needed for a soul to be made a demon? Easy. Children's innocence. Though this innocence must be harvested by a being that was capable of exerting fine energy thick innocence. This meant the children either had to be souls or Shishames. Though if souls were to play the game, there would be a chance a young soul would become a demon and that would not be good. So Shishame children were used instead for they could not become demons, they could only die.

Not much later GOKEMA opened up an orphanage where they took in the Shishame 'orphans' in while they still had an abundance of innocence and had the occasional play time where they would bring in a lost soul to convert into a demon through none other than the song Kagome.

Some Shishame began to catch the whiff of these acts and not everyone was pleased though no one knew how, what, or where this act was done. Some ignored it, others feared it, others decided to hunt it down and figure them out. End the chaos wrecked by demons.

Types of Characters:

Regular Humans~ When making these guys, make sure you know that it will be challanging to actually get them in the plot line. Dont say I didnt warn you. Anyways, regular humans are given by their name. They are not Shishames nor are they spirits with any real abilities
Shishames~ As said in the plot story, Shishames have the ability to see spirits, souls, demons, and in general, the dead. They exert a thicker energy than most and tend to be targeted by wild demons because of such. Also, Shishame have the ability to cast a few magic spells with this thicker energy than most humans to defend though few actually know how to. (Both Signature and basic ones like Bindings) Finally Shishames have the ability to bind to a Spirits/souls (can have multiple)
Spirits/Souls~ They are dead souls. They can walk through walls and bind with Shishames unlocking a new ability and a weapon form. Though with this, the Spirits/Souls take the risk of corruption and becoming a demon. They cant be seen by regular humans but can be seen by Shishames, demons, and other spirits
Demons~ These are spirits/souls that have been corrupted. Usually they dont have any more innocence left in them and lack a sense of moral (some may have some but its low). They dont have many non-physical boosts in ability though they do tend to gain a higher strength and speed. Also, some but not many demons have a mind of their own if they were created by GOKEMA and even then they remain loyalty for the most part. Ones that are wild may have a conscious but they too dont tend to have much of a mind

Organizations:

GOKEMA~ Look at the plot story. Note: There are Shishame working for the GOKEMA as well. GOKEMA's goal is to be explained but the basis is to create more demons and a more powerful forces. Also, they raise the young Shishame's into future members of the organization.
Civilians~ These are just the by standards may they be Shishame, Regular humans, or Souls/Spirits
Shishame Rebellion~ The Shishame Rebellion is basically a large organization of Shishames that had gathered up to form a powerful organization of demon killing Shishame. Its a group that wants to rid of the demons and if possible keep them from coming back again. Along the way, word of the mysterious group of the GOKEMA had been dug up (Ill leave it to wanta whether or not this is public information that everyone knows about or private information) that seemed to have grown to be a totally opposite goal as them. To expand demons. Shishame in the Shishame Rebellion are not that much different than those in GOKEMA with the exception that their organization does not use demons and are much more soul friendly. Put in goals, the Shishame Rebellion's goal is to figure out more about the GOKEMA, put an end to their demon creating actions, and find a way to not only remove the demons that have appeared but also keep them from ever returning or appearing again. Wanta, as the owner of the leader of the Shishame Rebellion, you can add on any other goals.
