We call oranges their name for their color.. Why dont't we call banana's 'yellow'?

If we should call banana's yellow, then I put yellow's on my cereal all the time! XD

There's еще than one kind of red.We have tomatoes,remember.What would we call that?XD

Well.. maybe because there are other fruits the same color.. (Orange is almost like the only оранжевый fruit. [Kinda doubt it though])

Like, Lemons. Lemons are yellow as well..
And, like apples, tomatoes are red..

I dunno.. :P

вишня is a color. вишня fruits. вишня = sorta dark red

how do Ты know its not the other way around and that the color оранжевый was named after the Фрукты O_o? so instead the color yellow would be банан like today I was coloring and my банан marker dried out или my apple(red) crayon broke in half.

and P.S. (I'm contradicting what I сказал(-а) above ^^)there are many Цвета of apples, like Золото apples, green apples, and there's green bananas and I like the word banana.
P.S.S the world (government) just wanted to make up еще words to get us even еще confused than we possibly could've been. That's why they say those big words, so we don't understand half of what their saying. ^_^

i have no idea ae maybe they couldnt think of anything for it so they must have thought Эй, its оранжевый lets call it orange

Because the оранжевый wanted to be unique.

I think банан means yellow in some other language.. not sure but... yeh :P

Because банан sounds awesome XD
