Swear words are words; it's how Ты use them that counts. Likewise, someone could take great offence to other words that don't count as "swearing." It's like trying to stop bullying. It's not possible. While Ты can do things yourself to make a difference, that doesn't mean that everyone will follow along. So don't swear if Ты don't want to, but please don't attempt to persuade others against swearing. We all have freedom of speech, to say what we feel. Swear words are just meant to back up emotions.

For instance I could call Ты a bloody, stupid, homicidal, idiotic, patronizer. Likewise, if I called Ты a mother-fucking damned bitch, the intent is the same. To insult Ты (not really calling Ты those things, just using examples)

So, basically, swear words are just words. They aren't always made to insult people, but maybe to emphasize a point.

Ты may find it ignorant and not-very-classy to swear, but isn't that making an intention that Ты hate swear words? Isn't saying that it's really stupid to write that stuff insulting someone? Does that make Ты any better than the people who swear?

See, people unintentionally bully; There's no way to completely stop it. Ты may have insulted someone without meaning it. Hell, I may have just insulted Ты without meaning it.

Personally, to me they're just words...I don't care if people curse.

If I swear, it's only ever VERY mildly and even then I feel terrible afterwards. I don't know why cause I'm not especially religious или anything. I don't mind others swearign so much though, although if they swear еще than once in each sentence then I get fed up, and if I am meeting someone for the first time and they swear I find it a MAJOR turn-off.

They're just words. They are only offensive if Ты go out of your way to take offense to them. I think instead of people not cursing (which would never happen anyway), people should stop using words like that, excuding swear-words. If people can't swear, then they'll just use any normal word to insult someone. Frankly, I don't care if people swear или not, any word can be used to have a bad meaning, as I said.

No. Cussing may seem stupid to you, but for people like me, we can't help it. I often don't even notice it when I cuss. It's just natural to me. They're just words, anyway, I don't even see what's so fucking bad about them.

There's not really anything wrong with cuss words...I don't get why they're a big deal and they will probably be even less of one in 50 years или so...in the 1800s pants was quite an obscene word and now it's not. Not to mention admittedly my Избранное actor sounds pretty damn cute when he cusses with his Scottish accent.
