Han & Leia:
Story: They met when Han and Luke came to rescue Leia from Darth Vader. Their relationship was very arguing and full of snarky comments from the beginning. But eventually the built-up sexual tension turned into a love, and they both almost sacrificed themselves for each other.
Endgame: Yes.
Quote: "You like me because I'm a scoundrel. There aren't enough scoundrels in your life."

Hatter & Alice
Story: They met when Alice accidentally stumbled into Wonderland. The Hatter became her guide in the land, and their relationship was humorous, bickering and caring from the start. Eventually the Hatter decided to leave Wonderland to join Alice in the human world, and they became a couple.
Endgame: Yes.
Quote: "Do you trust me now?" "Completely."

Jack & Kate
Story: They met when their plane crashed onto an island, and they became a team almost right away, understanding each other quite perfectly and taking care of everyone else. But eventually they fell in love, and even though there was a lot of drama involved, they found ways to be happy.
Endgame: I don't even get Lost's idea of endgame?? I think??
Quote: "I've always been with you."

James & Lily
Story: They met at Hogwarts, and definitely didn't get along at first. Lily didn't like James, but he had a thing for her. Eventually, however, Lily warmed up to him and their sexual tension turned into a loving marriage. And in the end James died protecting Lily and their son.
Endgame: Well, I guess no? But I see it as a yes since they died together.
Quote: "She hated him." "Nah, she didn't."

Tom & Sybil:
Story: They met when Tom became the driver for the family. They soon became friends that liked to bicker, and eventually admitted their feelings for each other. They ran away together, but in the end were welcomed home when the family realized that the two belonged together. Sadly, however, soon after Sybil died while giving birth to their child.
Endgame: No.
Quote: "I promise to devote every waking minute to your happiness."

Westley & Buttercup:
Story: They first met when Westley was working in Buttercup's estate. Soon, they fell in love, but their happiness was short-lived when Westley (presumably) died. Years later, as Buttercup was to marry another man she did not love, Westley came back and rescued her, and they finally got their happy ending.
Endgame: Yes.
Quote: "That day she was amazed to discover that when he was saying 'as you wish', what he meant was 'I love you'."

Gilbert & Anne
Story: She moves to Avonlea when she gets adopted and before school starts, she goes to a picnic where she meets her future best friend and they race together against Gilbert and another boy. He instantly likes her and tries to make her notice him by winking at her. She is embarrassed and thinks it's inappropriate. They meet as kids. Gilbert likes Anne the minute he meets her, but he makes the terrible mistake of calling her 'Carrots' to get her attention (she is really sensitive about her hair) and so she smashes a slate over his head and vows to hate him forever. He tries to apologize and be her friend but she always refuses and tries to be better than him in school and such, so they develop this competitive banter. After he rescues her when she is stranded in the lake, they sort of become friends but she stays as stubborn and proud as she was before when it comes to him. They go to college and she starts becoming jealous of girls noticing him (though she's completely oblivious to her feelings for him) At this point, they are friends but Gilbert teases her/flirts a bit and then he proposes to her but she turns him down. She becomes a teacher and works far from Avonlea so they don't really see each other, he becomes engaged to someone else and she starts realizing her feelings. He becomes sick and as he thinks he is about to die, she comes to see him and he tells her that he broke off the engagement because she's the only one for him. He recovers and they confess their love for each other. They eventually get married and have lots of children (this is the book version) In the movie version, they get married but he is called to be a war doctor during WWI. He then goes missing in action and so she goes to find him and they reunite.
Endgame: Yes.
Quote: "You just think that you love me." "Anne, I've loved you as long as I can remember. I need you."
