I guess Ты could count Fran and Freida’s inclusion in chapter four to be a callback to the fourth movie when they were introduced, and Runt became “King of the Forest”. Also, their idea to hide Oscar in Shadow Forest is a callback to the fourth movie.
When Stinky is telling Martin about how when they were pups, Runt would come Главная with quills in his paws because he kept giving the porcupines hugs, that’s a reference to the fifth movie when Kate finds out that that’s why she’s constantly pulling quills out of him.
Rise of the Hunter
I managed to sneak a namedrop for the Далее story at the very end of chapter five by saying that the Dawn of Destruction was later considered to be the start of The Final War. Probably one of my Избранное references is in chapter six and I’m telling Ты right now, this was 100% intentional. In chapter six, Runt tells Garth that Lydia’s injury is “just a flesh wound” which is a direct reference to Monty питон, python and the Holy Grail and the black knight scene.
There’s also a slight reference to Стрела in the beginning of chapter seven when Viggo Цитаты Deathstroke and tells Robert that assumption is the mother of all failure. And finally, I paid homage to the character that helped inspire Viggo by having him quote Grand Admiral Thrawn in the beginning of chapter eight.
