Meghan Trainor doesn\'t have any trouble snogging the face off Charlie Puth in her new \'Marvin Gaye\' music video, but figuring out the whole dating thing has been a bit more difficult irl. SO, her pal Ariana Grande\'s been dishing out the best lurve based advice she has to offer. 

No, it didn\'t include, "make sure you don\'t go into a shop and start licking their donuts" (AHEM),  although maybe it should have. 

Instead Ari\'s words of wisdom were more along the lines of \'keep ya love life secret\': "Ariana told me \'I\'m being so, so careful,\'" Meghan spilled on Sirius XM\'s The Morning Mash Up, "and I was like, \'I would be careful if there was anybody\'."

While Meggers may not have any reason to be careful when it comes to the dating section of her life at the moment, she reckons that she\'ll make some lucky boy q happy in the future: "I would be the best girlfriend; I wouldn\'t write any mean songs. I would be like, \'You are so nice, even on your mean days.\' I\'d be so nice to them," she said. 

You say that now Meghan, but just wait until they eat the last slice of pizza without asking. THEN the break up songs\'ll come out. Or at least they would if it was us. 

It\'s not all been nights in with Netflix and snacks for her, though. Meg spilled the goss on what happened during a recent date. saying: "This nice gentlemen took me out on a date and it was very fancy and I\'m like, \'We don\'t have to do this; I hate everything on this menu.\'

"Then this one fan was brave enough to come up and after that, they lined up. And finally the owner of the restaurant came out and was like, \'We don\'t do pictures,\' and I was like, \'Yes!\' And I looked at [my date] and [went], \'So [this is] the future if this is what you want.\'"
