ASTRO reaches crowdfunding goal for their very first photobook project
Makestar for the release of their very first photobook, reached their goal!
SEE ALSO: ASTRO has a hugging fanmeet for the end of \'Confession\' promotions
The crowdfunding began on November 21 and will continue until December 31, but the group has already exceeded their funding goal of 35 million KRW ($29,825). Fans can now look forward to an awesome photobook containing beautiful photos of ASTRO members.
Also, you can continue to donate money since additional funds will increase the quality and number of goodies that will be delivered right back to the fans!

My poor baby Eunwoo. I\'m surprised my prince doesn\'t have to crowd source just to get a fucking cheeseburger. Or maybe he does! 0_0
Why do they have to crowdfund something like this? Their company should just sell us this shit. They knows we wants it
you\'ll get your shit if you ordered it, what\'s your problem?
My problem is that my ChaEunWoo should not be having to do these kinds of shits. And should also have personal servants to attend to his every need
Are you sure about that? Because I think that if you were to ask MyChaEunWoo right now if he would like to live a life of luxury being waited on hand and foot and enjoying free promotional opportunities, he\'d at least consider it. But is his company giving him that? No. They want him to "work" and such. It\'s so unbefitting of a prince
you\'re misinformed, he\'s not working, he\'s begging, this entire comment section is abt it
Well yeah, I call it begging but his company would call it working. However when I say I dont want him working i mean I don\'t want him doing anything that might physically or emotionally tire him even a little. So even if he\'s just brushing his own teeth, I\'m against it. MyChaEunWoo is too good to brush his own teeth. This world is so unfair T_T
One reason why crowd funding is good for items like Photobooks is that it prevents wastage also. Lets say the agency decide to produce 1000 Photo books, but they dunno if 1000 is the right amount or if its too much. if they print 1000 books and only sell 300 or 400 of them, the remainder books will be sitting ard in stores and waiting to be replaced with a newer product in time to come. However if the agency print 200 copies, and its not enough to meet demand, then they will have to order a re-print and distribute out again. which is time costly. by doing crowd funding, its a bit like Pre-order, with a difference, the difference is that in crowdfunding, they tend to add special gifts, maybe like signed books or items which you cannot get from stores to make the order unique, and attractive to fans, like a Polaroid photo of ASTRO member and signed. such items will be special to fans since its not something they can get if they go and buy the book off the shelf.
IKR?? Fantagio has been promoting Astro really well, they think a lot about details. They really are doing a great job with Astro
Big Hit has BTS, not every small agencies have hit groups, and just because your fav group is successful does not mean that other groups from smaller agencies who does not have the big budget to spend on photobooks and use crowd funding are beggers. I think its better for smaller groups to seek crowd funding assistance than to disappear and disband due to agency\'s lack of funding.
B1a4 isn\'t as big a group as they should be and seventeen comes from a broke ass company but they ain\'t beggin...nor has knk or gfriend...nor mamamoo
Seventeen asked their families for earbuds and ear mics when they first debuted because their company didn\'t provide it for them. Bts didn\'t all have ear mics either in the beginning. B1a4 is an amazing group but doesn\'t get nearly the recognition they deserve due to less promoting. Astro is being smart doing things this way. Since they raised the money themselves they get more control over how it\'s used and the product they are producing instead of relying on their company to make all the decisions. It\'s also allowing them to learn how to market themselves in case their company stops promoting them properly. Other groups have used crowdfunding for all kinds of things. A girl group used crowdfunding to fund their album before so that they could have complete control over what they produced. This is ensures that the profit from the photobook will go to Astro and not their company. Idols don\'t make very much unless they are writing, composing, producing their own music as well as doing CFs, They have to pay back all of their training expenses plus all of their living expenses are deducted from their pay. People think because they see idols wearing designer brands and jewelry that they are making a lot of money but those items are usually given to them so that people will see it and buy it. When the company buys it for them they deduct it from the groups profits. Companies tend to take 70% of earnings and leave 30% for the members to split. There are a lot of articles where profit and pay issues are discussed.
Ok so seventeen asked their families and Astro strangers so it\'s ok lmao and if you\'re referring to wassup...flop. Exo doesn\'t write or compose but they make money and you can use the whole Big theree thing anyway it\'s not about how much is in their wallets. Astro decided to take money from "fans " who had they been there off rip would\'ve never flopped and had to resort to begging. And the big three is doing fine and they don\'t take majority well yg and jyp don\'t and they\'re doing just fine. I\'m done having this conversation with y\'all I don\'t like the idea of them asking people for money. The same way the lol 97liner in Astro books jobs the rest of them should too and if it works it works if not pull a seventeen and ask your parents if all else fails don\'t go begging. This is like a working women asking strangers to pay her rent because she decided to live in a 1500/mo apt when she only makes 800....no
You are obviously a troll. If you weren\'t you\'d realize that crowdfunding doesn\'t \'take money\' from fans. The fans are buying a product but instead of the product being already made they are buying it before production. It\'s that simple. You are ridiculous and childish and obviously do not understand how the real world nor business works.
No I\'m into lmao but I\'m not stupid lmao you believe what you want and feel how you want I\'m well aware of how busniness works lmao if they wanted preorders it would\'ve been that it wouldn\'t have been set at 20+k. If it was just the books it\'s would\'ve been just the books
"Anythingyg" hates groups who need crowd funding to release albums because his/her bias is YG and they dun need crowdfunding, its like a billionaire son who dun understand why people need to work part time or do odd jobs just to pay their tuition fees or buy their school books. at least crowd funding isnt really begging as the supporters do get something back in return. begging is just asking for funds without anything in exchange.
I mean I also stan mamamoo and bts and seventeen and knk and none of them crowd fund...
BTS, Seventeen are also one of those "EBS" EXO-BTS-Seventeen, the new mega popularity groups. Mamamoo is also one of the popular girl groups. newer groups deserve a chance to survive even if they never will get #1 in charts or music shows, they still make several thousands of fans happy, than i think there is no reason to throw cold water by laughing at how these groups need to "beg" to survive. If i am a idol group that is facing the dilemma of doing crowd funding to release my next album or not having any comeback and risk disbanding, I would surely pick crowd funding. of cos if the crowd funding failed to even get 100% it only confirm that the group is really unpopular that there is not enough fans support to support that project then i guess the group should be thinking of disbanding to look for other opportunities. KNK is YNB\'s first idol group so the agency may still have funding to support them for a while more, HOwever if KNK\'s next few comebacks failed to sell enough and the agency made a loss with the album, then YNB may decide if they want to end the group or seek crowd funding to let KNK last longer.
Like I\'ve said I\'m against it lmao if you need money get another job
