Definitely. It's disappointing how minor he was in the show.

I feel like they shouldn't have even introduced him if they were going to just cast him aside and keep him in the background. It was sort of like a tease.

I know, I totally agree. He showed up with his army and then nothing! He wasn't seen again. It was disappointing that he didn't interact much with anyone and we didn't see him after season 1.

I actually shipped him with Korra before I realized that by book four he was forty.

I loved him with Asami..... that was the original couple that they wanted. Why they didn't go through with this, I will never understand? Iroh actually had a ton of potential, yet he was cast off. Typical of LoK though. Most things in this show with potential were cast off and never pursued again.
