This isn't fun anymore. When will they start giving us actual villains who do actual evil stuff? I'm very much tired of seeing bad girls turn into angels under the influence of Barbie the Ultimate Mary Sue. Okay, I know the movies aren't targeted at us, so I have no right to complain, but seriously, I wouldn't mind if this motif occurred once or twice, and once in a while. But we got 3 movies in a row (excluding PC, since that one didn't really have a villain to begin with) with the repetitive character, which is just too much. Like I said somewhere, Mattel is losing their creativity.

Again, this might not make any sense, but I just felt the need to say it.

^No, that made perfect sense to me.

I didn't mind it in Delancey's case because, in that story, I thought it was well done. I mean, Delancey basically started out as Dame Devin's puppet; she went along with everything her mother said because she felt she was entitled to the throne her mother was hoping she'd obtain. It's only when she finds out she's not that she starts questioning things, and winds up stepping out of her mother's shadow. I wouldn't say that's a case of Delancey turning into a "perfect angel"; I'd say that's her learning to think for herself and be less influenced by Dame Devin. In fact, I tend to compare her to Luciana because she has far more in common with her (the main difference, of course, is their attitudes throughout the story). I'm not so happy with Raquelle because, if I'm totally honest, she was more interesting as an antagonist (and, while I like that she got to explain how she felt, her behaviour seemed relatively justified).

However, I'm getting pretty tired of this, too; not only because it's repetitive, but because it's becoming predictable. If Mattel carry on like this, we're going to be able to guess right off the bat that the next "bad girl" is going to become good, and bang goes any speculation about that character. With Delancey, we didn't know at first if she was going to be completely evil, and that made us curious. If we all know Mattel's going to do this... well, what's the point?

I understand that Mattel are trying to make characters who aren't total saints, but if they're going to do this, why not make a character like Major Mint again? You know, a good person who's NOT perfect. Maybe they have some serious personality flaw, like a lack of confidence or an attitude problem. Or maybe - and here's a thought - maybe we can have a genuinely good person who might not like Barbie's character! I mean, if someone like Kylie has to stop being evil, why does she automatically have to become Merliah's best friend in the process? Why can't she just look at what went down with Eris and think "oh, damn it, what have I done?" and STILL not like Merliah? No character is universally popular, and disliking Barbie's character shouldn't automatically make a person evil.

My oh my; the last comments were the longest comments in my life!

You know, it must be stopped. We stopped Barbieface problem and Kelly problem; it's time to do something with storyline problem.

Long, elaborate comments are my specialty. XD

Anyway, long story short; it needs to be stopped. If Mattel want to make flawed characters, they can try something else.

I loved it at first. In a Fashion Fairytale, Jacqueline apologized and was forgiven, which I thought was a great lesson, but she didn't get all buddy-buddy with Barbie. Then, Raquelle....meh, I never liked that movie, and it seemed ridiculous that they made up and she changed and la la la........only to then forget all about it as if it were a dream. Delancey, I did like her story; like MajorAbbey said, she was a lot like Luciana. But at this point, it's so pathetic to have the same stinkin' character story arc over and over again.....what's the use?

It's hard to ENJOY THE MOVIE when the movies just keep getting repetitive. It just makes them dull.
