'Batman: Arkham Knight' Is Almost 50 GB On PlayStation 4

isn\'t just a beautiful game, it\'s also looking to be one of the biggest games of the current generation.

Rocksteady has promised that Gotham City is bigger than any of the studio\'s previous environments - which is awesome for players, but it means that the game is going to take up a huge amount of space.

While the install sizes have yet to be officially revealed, PlayStation 4 owners now have an idea of just how big

is going to be...and anyone who\'s running out of free space on their consoles may want to clear some stuff out before the game\'s release in June.

s install size comes out to 48.7 GB - nearly a tenth of the system\'s overall capacity.

All things considered, that\'s massive - but there\'s an easy explanation for the game\'s size.

is an incredibly detailed game (screenshots have proven that much), and the game\'s open world is supposedly gigantic. Combine the two, and you\'ve got a game that\'ll stretch an Internet connection (or a Blu-Ray disc) to its limits.

Even so, 50 GB isn\'t even close to breaking the record for \'biggest game ever\' - most MMOs break that number with ease, and even console games like

 That being said, players who choose to purchase the game digitally will definitely want to start the download as early as possible - 50 GB isn\'t tiny by any stretch of the imagination, and it\'s going to take quite a while to download.

Is 50 GB a lot of space? Yes, especially when so many games seem to be coming in at that number - storage space isn\'t infinite, after all. Will

be worth the huge install size? It\'s impossible to say just yet...but if Rocksteady plays its hand right,
