Why do we celebrate Christmas?

We celebrate a great gift that Almighty God has дана us. The gift to be able to have a closer relationship with Him through Иисус Christ His Son, a part of God. No longer do we have to give God a sacrifice through burning the best of the crop, или killing the best of our animals. Иисус was born to die for us, on the cross. Well, this is a very complex holiday for me. I celebrate it not just for the Santa and presents part but because I am a Roman Catholic, we believe it is Иисус Christs birthday. Breakdown the word "Christmas" Christ-mas, I think mas means something in another language. But yes its the story of him being born in a manger, to his Mother Mary and foster father Joesph. He was put on this earth to free us from sin, so everyone has a chance at going to heaven. That is why Ты see him on a cross, he did for the sins of the world. Then on Easter he is risen from the dead and seated at the right hand of his father God. Like I said, very long winded.
