Diazdiaz95 won Фан of the месяц for October: 2014, and I got the pleasure to interview him. So, Let's start the interview then.


1. Were Ты expecting to win FOTM for October?

Not really. I mean, I came in секунда place in September so I guess I was expecting to do well in this month's Опрос but I was still surprised that I won and that I got so many Голоса and comments, I really appreciated them. I am happy that I won although I don't believe that I've done enough to deserve this Название and it is a little awkward for me to win since I am running FotM. I'm happy that I won in one of my Избранное months, I was hoping to win sometime between October and February (my Избранное months).


2. What characteristics do Ты usually admire in Дисней Princesses?

I admire Дисней Princesses and any female characters who are brave, strong, and fight for what they believe in. I often like outspoken, sassy, and/or somewhat rebellious characters who go out and get things done. I think that my вверх 6 (Tiana, Snow White, Merida, Anna, Rapunzel, and Mulan) all exhibit most of these characteristics, they take stands and think for themselves without having to rely on others so much to get their happy ending. I just like those girls with a bit of attitude and spunk who are still nice and have a good sense of humor. I also admire elegance and grace but they aren't the most important things to me. I want to see princesses who act like еще like real, modern girls.


3. What characteristics do Ты NOT usually admire in Дисней Princesses?

I'm not extremely attracted to the princesses who don't speak their mind или do much to improve their situation. It is admirable to be dutiful and obedient but I like it when female characters take chances and make mistakes and aren't afraid to speak up when they don't like something. I also don't like it when female characters don't just get to the point and say what is on their mind. I guess I'm usually not as into the quieter, less proactive princesses.

-Favorite Дисней Movie: Mulan, followed closely by Hunchback of Notre Dame
-Favorite Animated Movie: Probably Mulan. My Избранное non-Disney animated movie is probably Rise of the Guardians, their are several others that I like a lot too though.
-Disney Movie Ты feel the most nostalgia for: Hmm, I've been trying to figure this out lately and it is probably either Aladdin, Mulan, или Hercules. Strangely enough I feel a lot of nostalgia for The Little Mermiad even though I never saw it growing up, maybe I did but forgot.


5. Outside of Дисней Movies, what are some of your Избранное movies?

I like several other animated Фильмы but aside from those I tend to like a wide variety of films and it's hard for me to pick favorites. I Любовь the звезда Wars series (yes, I'm a nerd lol) and I usually like films set in the past (period pieces) или anything that features great acting, especially from any of my Избранное actors. I'm the type of person who usually likes critically acclaimed, Oscar nominated films and likes well done dramas еще than special effects extravaganzas или generic comedies and horror films. I do have some guilty pleasures though, like Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement and others.


6. Which characteristics from your Избранное Дисней Princess do Ты wish Ты had?

I wish I was as Храбрая сердцем and selfless as Mulan. I don't think I'd be able to do what she did (taking her father's place in the army, fighting the Huns, defying the law like she did even at the risk of death, etc.). I also wish that I could fight like her или be as good a quick thinker as her. I just wish that I were еще like


7. Which characteristics from your least Избранное Дисней Princess are Ты glad Ты don't have?

I actually think that Золушка has some admirable traits that I wouldn't mind having but I'm happy that I'm not nearly as submissive as her или Aurora. Even though I try to always be nice, I do like to speak my mind and I would definitely stand up for myself или at least try to fix my situation. If I were Aurora , for example, I wouldn't just mope around after being pretty much forced to marry a stranger, I'd run away или refuse to go или something else. The same with Cinderella, I'd go to the ball whether my dress is all ripped up или not and I'd tell the Prince the truth about my life right from the beginning and not just run away at midnight. I'd stand up to those stepsisters if they ripped up my dress, I'd give them a piece of my mind *snaps* Cindy wouldn't take it anymore lol. I'd probably get kicked out of the house but oh well, actually I'd try to get outside help if I were in Cindy's position. What was the Вопрос again? Oh yeah, I'm definitely glad that I'm not that quiet and submissive.


8. Are Ты planning to contribute to this spot for as long as Ты are on here, или are Ты еще interested in other clubs?

Of course, actually I've got a few Статья drafts that I'm working on right now for this club, I'd actually like to get еще involved in the club and get to know еще DP club users.


9. What is your Избранное thing about this club?

The users. They are almost all very nice and make the club feel like a community, a family even. Of course, I also really like the articles, forums, polls, and other things but the best thing is definitely the users themselves :) Some other websites have such rude, annoying users so I'm happy that this club is full of so many fun, friendly people.



10. Which contribution do Ты ENJOY contributing to the most? (Images, videos, polls, comments, articles, etc.)

Articles. Like I said, I've got a bunch of Статьи that I'm working on and will hopefully be publishing soon and most of my contributions to this club have been articles. Unfortunately, I haven't published one in a while because I've been so busy.


11. According to your profile, Ты joined Fanpop in March 2014. How did Ты discover the site? Did Ты want to Присоединиться it immediately?

O.k. so this might be a long story. Well, it was March, as Ты said, and I'm not exactly sure what I was searching for at the time, if was either Статьи about Холодное сердце или Дисней Princess lists but probably the first option. I came across a Холодное сердце hate Статья on this site and I hadn't met anyone in real life who hated that movie so I wanted to see what the writer had to say. Well, it turns out that the Статья was written by a certain user who is no longer active here but was usually rude. I was really annoyed by the Статья because she gave very superficial reasons for hating the film, she was so negative, annoying, and rude and the Статья was badly written so I got mad and decided that I needed to respond to the article. It's o.k. if she didn't like Холодное сердце but I really didn't like the way she expressed herself so I immediately joined the club just to Комментарий on the Статья (hence my dumb username, I wasn't really thinking it through since I had no intention to actually stay on the site at the time). Well, I never did Комментарий on the Статья because I checked out the rest of the club, liked what I saw, and started working on my first article, completely forgetting the Холодное сердце article. Even though I didn't really like that user I do have to admit that I wouldn't have joined Fanpop when I did if it wasn't for her. I remembered that I had read some DP beauty Статьи on this site months before joining but at the time I hadn't thought of actually joining. It is kind of a weird story, I guess I just thought that the club was cool and decided to stay. Wow, that was a long answer, I warned you.



12. Which Дисней Characters do Ты feel strong, positive opinions towards?

My вверх 6 Дисней Princesses, my вверх 4 Princes (Aladdin, Kristoff, Flynn, Naveen), the Winnie the Pooh characters, Meeko and Percy, Edna Mode (she's fabulous), several of the villains (Queen Grimhilde, Maleficent, Jafar, Hades, Frollo, YZMA, Kronk, Iago), most of the cast of Aladdin, Hercules, Mulan, the Toy Story films, Mike and Sully, Dory, Esmeralda, Megara, Cogsworth, Timon, Pumbaa, and Rafiki, Mickey, Oswald, and most of the main characters like Donald and Goofy, Jane, Professor Porter, Terk and Tantor, Jim Hawkins, Sebastian, ugh I'm sure I've forgotten some characters. I'm sure I'll Любовь the Big Hero 6 characters. Let's just say that I generally have very positive feelings toward Дисней characters.


13. Which Дисней Characters do Ты feel strong, negative opinions towards?

-_- Pretty much the entire casts of Chicken Little, Dinosaur, and Главная on the Range, especially that dumb, fat, loudmouthed main cow. Prince Charming (still snoozing), Gaston, The Prosepctor and that annoying Al guy from Toy Story 2, Buzz Lightyear when he was all high and mighty and thought he wasn't a toy. Sid, Monstro, and I'm sure their are others, I just can't remember them.


14. Is this one of your Избранное clubs? If so, why?

It's actually my Избранное club because it is a Дисней club, the users are great, and it is probably the most active club on Fanpop.


15. Who are some of your Избранное users/closest Друзья on the club?

Oh my, well I like almost everyone on this club except for the occasional trolls или rude users who only seem to come on to start drama. Some of my closest Друзья on here are BKG201, fiina, 324anna, and Tygers_Eye, I've probably talked to them еще than any other people. I've also talked to Silverrose (I think he was the very first person that I ever private messaged on here), Sk8er_grl, Shanyuisboss, and others quite a bit and consider them my Друзья on here. I don't want to forget anyone, I really do like all of the active members on here and have talked to many of them and hope to get to know many others as well.


16. Which Дисней Princess do Ты think Ты act the most like?

Hmm probably Belle или Tiana although I've also been compared еще than once to Rapunzel and I do have my Anna moments so I'm probably like a weird mix of those four. I have similarities with all of the princesses but I'd say Belle because I Любовь to read and don't usually fit in with people in real life, I'm a dreamer like her and Tiana but I'm also considered intelligent and mature like those two and I'm also pretty hardworking like Tiana, sometimes. It's hard to describe myself and compare myself to a princess. According to Fanpop, I act most like Rapunzel.



17. Which Дисней Princess do Ты think Ты act the least like?

I guess Ariel. I'm adventurous but definitely not at her level. She can be downright reckless and I'm definitely not reckless. I don't think that she thinks through things that much, which is different from me as well and she is kind of irresponsible with her concerts and I always try to be responsible when I'm working on a performance или have assignments to do. Oh, I'm also not very much like Aurora, like I сказал(-а) earlier I speak up when I don't like something and I take action, unlike her. I also don't spend very much time in the forest with woodland Животные lol. I'm also not as graceful as her and I'm a pretty bad dancer.

18. If Ты could rate all of the Дисней Princess Фильмы from a percentage of 0% to 100%, what would Ты rate them all?

Hmm, this is an interesting but tough question. I'll try to be as accurate as possible.

>Sleeping Beauty:72%
>The Little Mermaid: 82%
>Beauty and the Beast: 88%
>Aladdin: 95%
>Pocahontas: 70%

>Frozen: 89%
или something like that lol. I kind of just put the first percentage that came to mind for each one, I'm not even sure if they properly match up to my list. I guess these are pretty accurate though.


19. What are some of your interests outside of Дисней Movies?

I Любовь to sing and act (I'm actually currently in a musical, Godspell) and I also Любовь to read, listen to music, and watch different types of movies. I'm a bit of a film geek in some ways and I like many genres of music, I'm currently really into classical music. I'm into звезда Wars, Marvel comics, history, different cultures, countries, and languages, and Once Upon a Time so I'm definitely nerdy lol. I'm interested in a lot of things though.

20. What do Ты think, is something Дисней should do in the future for their movies?

I think that Дисней should focus on making еще films that are aimed еще at adults and teenagers like HoND. I'd like to see еще dark или serious subjects in Дисней films and еще cultural/ethnic diversity as well. I think that they should stop using the same formula that they usually use for their Дисней Princess films and instead allow their writers to have еще freedom and be еще inventive. I'd like them to also make a wider variety of films. Studio Ghibli and Pixar tend to be a bit еще inventive with their stories so I'd like to see films that are different from Disney. It would also be nice if they didn't try to make everything enjoyable only for younger kids или funny all the time instead of making films that are enjoyable for all age groups, not that they aren't doing that now. Why don't they just make me the head of Disney's film department? lol.

21. What is a "mistake" that Ты think Дисней made in the past with one of their movies, that Ты hope doesn't happen again?

With Chicken Little, Главная on the Range, and some other films I think Дисней focused too much on young children instead of making the films with the whole family in mind. They also have had periods when their Анимация has been weak so I hope that they can continue to have good animation. One big mistake was completely getting rid of hand drawn animation, they should definitely bring it back, I don't mind CGI but I'd like to see some traditional Анимация as well. Oh, and they seemed to have rushed Холодное сердце a lot because of all of the Анимация mistakes and plot holes and even though it didn't really affect the film's success, I'm sure that the film could've been much better if it hadn't been rushed so I hope that they won't do that again.
Oh, and I hope that they will always focus on making the best films possible and keeping the Дисней magic alive :)


22. Are Ты most active in this club, или are Ты еще active in others?

I'm only really active on this club. I rarely check other клубы because they aren't very active unfortunately. I did start a club, the Physical Beauty club *cough*join if Ты haven't already*wink* but it's just starting out so it isn't very active yet. I used to check other клубы but then I realized that they were pretty dead. It's a shame that the Дисней club is so dead.



23. Why is your Избранное Дисней Princess your favorite?

Oh, well, I'll try to make this answer short. Мулан is brave, smart, selfless, and funny (I actually think that she is the funniest princess) and while she is mature she is still sort of clumsy and awkward even at the end of the film, these are all traits that I really like in characters. She stands up for what she believes in, wants to bring her family honor and save her father, and is a great example of hard work and self improvement in animated films. She does transform but she doesn't change completely, she's just a better fighter and еще confident and experienced by the end of the film. She has almost always been my Избранное and I've always loved her movie, I guess that nostalgia also plays a part in why she's my favorite.



24. Why is your Избранное Дисней Prince your favorite?

I Любовь that Аладдин is charming, adventurous, and kind but he's not perfect. Actually, he's quite a flawed character. He's a liar, a thief, and a trickster yet I've always found him very likable and relatable. He dreams of one день having a better life and when he sees the chance he takes it, I like that. Nostalgia also plays a big part in why I Любовь him. I think that he is just such a great, multi layered character, he is dreamer and a fighter, both are things that I like to see in characters. He is resourceful, a quick thinker, friendly, and funny, what's not to like? O.k. I know that he should have just told жасмин the truth but I also understand why he didn't, he was scared that she'd shun him and he also knew that it wouldn't have been possible for him, a streetrat, to legally marry the princess.



25. Why is your least Избранное Дисней Princess your least favorite?

I just don't relate much to Cinderella. She is nice and all but not very exciting. My Избранное scenes with her are the ones where she is complaining and when she is about to hit Lucifer, why? Because she acts like a real person then and se shows some sass. Unfortunately, she's в общем и целом, общая not very interesting to me или realistic compared to the other princesses. She just seems a bit too perfect and proper for me.



26. Why is your least Избранное Дисней Prince your least favorite?

I'll just use a Комментарий that I made on a Опрос not too long ago. He's BORING. I'm getting sleepy just thinking about him and, oh too late, ...zzzzzzz. *Drowsily wakes up* Huh, what happened? Oh yeah, Charming is boring as tar and he barely appears in the film which is also a downside but Snow White's creeper of a prince appears for less time, barely speaks, and could have very well been an ax murderer searching for his Далее victim but I still like him infinitely еще than Prince Boring (because I'm not sure where Charming came from because he certainly doesn't seem THAT charming). He's much better in the sequels but apparently we never count the sequels here, which is a shame because then maybe Cindy and Charming wouldn't be my least favorites.


27. Have Ты ever questioned your love/lost interest for the Дисней Princesses, или Дисней in general?

I Остаться в живых interest in Дисней a little bit during the Главная on the Range-Chicken Little-Meet the Robinsons-Bolt period, pretty much when they were starting to use CGI only. My interest returned with Tangled. I still loved the renaissance films during that time and other Дисней films but I hadn't been following the new releases very closely. I had kind of Остаться в живых my faith in Disney's future, shame on me.


28. Do Ты change your opinions on the Дисней Princesses often, или do they usually stay the same?

My lists usually change a bit over time but I rarely ever make huge changes to them. My вверх 3 and my bottom 2 have stayed the same, albeit in a different order, since Холодное сердце was released. My general opinions on DPs don't usually change much. Sometimes I slightly change my opinions after rewatching a movie или good arguments for или against a character but nor always.



29. If Ты could choose one Дисней Princess, one Дисней Prince, one Дисней Villain, and one Дисней Heroine to be Друзья with, who would they be?

Ooh this is so hard. The Дисней princess would be Anna или Rapunzel. The prince would be Аладдин probably. The heroine...Esmeralda, Megara, или Jane? Esmeralda, Megara, или Jane? Hmm, I guess Esmeralda. The villain would be...ugh this is so hard. Either Hades, Yzma, Maleficent, или the Evil Queen, hmm Hades is funny but kind of creepy, then again so is Yzma lol. I'll go with Maleficent, Grimhilde might be too vain to have as a friend.


30. Is there anything Ты would like to say to all the people of this club?

That Ты are all wonderful! Thank Ты for nominating me and voting for me. I hope to continue being a part of this community and contributing as much as possible. Let's all work together to make this club as fun and interesting as possible, let's keep it alive by contributing a lot and just being around. Let's be as supportive and civil as possible. Hopefully we can all continue to Любовь Дисней through the years even after our Fanpop days and that the bonds we create in this club can continue for years to come as well.
