Hi everyone!

I've been inspired by the numerous Getting to Know Статьи that I've seen recently, so in this article, I'm going to follow suit. Hope Ты like mine!

Intro: I'm Asian and I'm female and I'm fourteen - fifteen by the time 2016 ends - and I'm living in the Northeast part of the U.S. Used to live in Houston and hated it.

I'm in ninth grade and a nerd, basically - a science-y, artsy, musical, bookish nerd.

Physical Appearance: I'm 5 foot 3 and a quarter inches, I have long black hair and some freckles and I have eyes that get really creepily large and round when I'm excited.

Hobbies: I play the violin, and have been doing so for seven years. I also take karate, read excessively, draw, and try to muddle through Письмо sci-fi books, none of which I have ever finished.

I also sing Дисней songs in my bedroom when nobody else is at home.

Избранное Subjects: A huge tie between Language Arts, Biology, German, Art, and Orchestra.

Least Избранное Subjects: Math. Social Studies is a close second.

What I'm Good At: My hobbies. And also internalizing completely and utterly useless information about animals.

What I'm Bad At: Talking to people, not bumping into people, not tripping while I go up the stairs, and not being an awkward teenager.

Things I Hate: Bugs, spiders, and the dark.

I'm creative, intelligent, horribly naïve and sensitive, and really competitive, but my other traits can vary.

On good days, I'm bubbly and energetic and kind.

On bad days, I either criticize или don't talk to people and am very, very lazy.

According to the Myers-Briggs test, I'm an INFP.

My Dreams:

Realistic: find love, be successful.

Unrealistic: become a Дисней animator.

laylastepford Great article! It's nice to know the people on here, especially the really active ones, and I see you are a very active user so thank you for all of your contributions to the DP club as well as letting us get to know you! I actually really like making new friends so I hope you don't mind the long response! :D I'm mixed Asian myself so we sort of have that in common. :) That's cool that you live in the northeast of the US, I would love to live there! We are also similar in size! Except I'm shorter, even though I'm older. I think it's amazing that you play the violin, I think that's a lovely instrument! May I ask what belt you have in karate? :) That's so cool that you're interested in German culture as I am too! <3 That seems somewhat rare to find in the US. :) I find it very ironic and interesting that one of your least favorite subjects is social studies because you seem like you're pretty social and open to other cultures as well. I completely hate bugs and spiders etc. too. :D The Lindt chocolate truffles are my absolute favorite! <3 I have never had beignets or dim sum. Would you mind explaining what they are and/or what they taste like? By your favorite songs, it seems like you have an eclectic taste in music! :D I love reading as well but unfortunately I am not familiar with the majority of books on your list aside from the Harry Potter series (which I read obsessively and very indulgently as a child!<3) and Charlotte's Web by E.B. White & Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll, which I have never read. I am sorry about your creepy nightmares, I've had similar ones (with people trying to kill me as well as with dinosaurs existing in our world, funny enough!). I have never heard of the film "The Giver". Most of your favorite TV shows are shows I have never heard of or never seen. I don't think it's an unrealistic dream for you to want to be a Disney animator if you have the talent. :) Overall you seem like a great person, pretty similar to Rapunzel in that you are sweet and have an eclectic taste. :D Thank you for giving us a chance to get to know you better! :D

ace2000 Wow! I'm actually sincerely touched that you took the time to write such a detailed response! :D I have a red belt XD working my way to black I love Lindor truffles! And beignets are basically deep fried pastries that you put powdered sugar on top of - so much better than donuts. Dim sum is essentially a million small dumplings and assorted buns that I consider a staple of outstanding Chinese restaurants. That's the one thing I liked about Houston - it had this huge amazing Chinese restaurant called Fung's Kitchen that served tons of dim sum on Sundays. The Queen of Thailand ate there. :) The Giver is a film based on Lois Lowry's book of the same name. Personally, I preferred the movie over the book, because I had more of an emotional response to it, but my opinion doesn't seem to be very popular. Oh well. And thanks for the encouragement concerning my dream - it made my day. :) Again, thanks for commenting! I love hearing what people have to say! :D

laylastepford ^ Of course, you took the time to write a detailed article about yourself so you deserve detailed responses, as long as you don't mind them! :D That's awesome, congratulations on your red belt! You must have been working on it for a long time to get this far? I started karate when I was younger but unfortunately had only worked my way up to 2nd degree yellow belt and could no longer continue. I greatly admire the self-control and discipline that karate teaches. <3 Thank you for explaining "beignets" and "dim sum" to me! I super appreciate it! So are beignets basically like funnel cake then? I personally am not a big fan of sweet stuff but you made me want to try the "dim sum"! They kind of sound like an Asian version of pierogies, which are Eastern European dumplings that usually contain (mashed) potato, sauerkraut, ground meat, cheese and/or fruits, which I LOVE<3. Well I am really glad that you mentioned "The Giver" to me because it sounds a lot like the books 1984 by George Orwell and Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, which are both on my favorite list. I also have a lot of respect for the actress Meryl Streep, so I will definitely check that out! anukriti2409 Hello, nice to meet you! I'm Asian too, Indian in specific, living in India. I;m quite older than you but thats okay :) It is so awesome that you can and learning to play violin! I simply love musical instruments and i had wished so much in my childhood to learn to play piano and guitar, but I;m not really good with instruments. I have little patience with it. So i left in between. I learnt many dance forms, instead, being so energetic! As a child, i also took karate lessons and only reached till Green Belt. Its so awesome you are already at red belt, i know it can take tremendous effort and energy to stay focused. I wish and hope you go higher! i love language arts too! and dont really like maths although I;m quite good at it. I love social studies a lot, especially human behavior and history. I also used to read excessively in my school days. I used to draw and paint as well. I also have written many stories and written a novel as well, but can't seem to find patience and dedication to do the editing of it. I hope i'll find that enthusiasm to complete it. I;m not such a fan of chocolates or its flavors but when mood strikes i love milk chocolates or centre-filled dark chocolates. I absolutely love dimsums! they are my favorite snack of all time! I absolutely detest bugs and spiders and all kinds of reptiles, they are so ugly and make me feel yuck from insides. I love dark, though, it makes me super imaginative. I'm very much a night person. I simply love The book thief. I also like Charlotte's web and through the looking glass. I haven't heard about the others much. I love Beatles, its my one of the favorite bands of all times! I just love most of their songs! <333 I also love Coldplay! What are your favorites in Disney? I'd love to know all about it too :) I have read mostly all your articles and gotten to know few favorites of course. And trust me, there's no unreal dream. You can become/get what you dream! ace2000 Aw, you're so sweet!! Thanks for the encouragement - it really touches me. :) Yes, I did neglect to talk about Disney in my article, so here goes: The DPs that will remain my constant favorites are Rapunzel and Mulan XD. My favorite Disney prince is Eugene (and Hercules if he counted as a prince), and my favorite Disney heroines are Jane from Tarzan and Megara from Hercules. My favorite Disney animals would probably be Pascal and Maximus from Tangled, Lady from Lady and the Tramp, Rita from Oliver & Company, Tod from The Fox and the Hound, and Bambi from Bambi. I watched Bambi SO MUCH when I was younger, as well as most of the other animal-centered movies. Not so much the DP movies - that's a more recent thing :) My top five Disney/Pixar movies are Tangled, Tomorrowland (unpopular opinion), Hercules, 101 Dalmatians, and Inside Out. I love Hercules because I really relate to Megara and her reluctance to let herself fall for somebody. 101 Dalmatians is a story about the sort of family I wish I had. And Inside Out is just a touching, hilarious, and creative work that admirably attempts to explain why kids are the way they are. I really appreciate your comment and thanks for spending time on it! The Little Mermaid

Why I Любовь princess Merida!

I recently added Merida to my favourite princesses list! I just Любовь her! Having done a favourite DP and favourite DP movie list, I could not resist doing a prettiest DP list. This was the hardest Список of all, mainly because all the Princesses are really beautiful. But I finally figured it out, and finished the article. Please remember that this is my opinion, so it is absolutely okay to have different opinions, but please don't be rude about my choices.
