Because when asked who's the most overrated Prince, Eric and John Smith are always winning in votes. Plus, these 2 are always winning the favorite Prince countdowns now. I love both of them about the same. Though I vote for Flynn because I think his jokes are kind of overrated.
I guess Al is, too, but he's so lovable that I think he deserves it.
Flynn tries too hard to be funny. I like him somewhat, but he just doesn't attract me. Some of his fans turn me off.
I have been saying this since the moment I stepped foot into this club. He is not original in any sense to the Disney Princes (he is CGI?), his jokes and dialogue are grating, and I do not see the big deal about him. He does nothing new or interesting to be honest, and I think Eric is more overrated than he is.
Their both in my top 3. But I find the way no one really puts Aladdin down for robbing people while we chew Flynn out for that all the time. Both can be overrated but both deserve to be overrated because people are willing to point out their flaws and at times accept their flaws and people point them out. But we can agree that they are no were near to being as overrated as Eric.
Sometimes I feel like the only person who doesn't like him - evidently, judging from some comments above, I'm not... which is comforting.
Everything about this character is contrived, from his "funny" (cough, cringeworthy and tryhard) quotes to his forced-in-an-attempt-to-make-this-character-original backstory.
I think some people are blind to a lot of Aladdin's faults while simultaneously chastising Jasmine for hers, but I wouldn't say he's "overrated", per se.
The question ask about who's more overrated, don't focus on stealing ONLY.
People find him really attractive but I think he is not.
People thing he has a great personality but I believe there are other princes with greater personality.
People think he is brave and I think so, too, but bravery doesn't mean ONLY to face fatal dangers. It also means to not be afraid of the truth or at least to not be trying to escape it. And he does it pretty bad.
In conclusion people ascribe to him characteristics that he lacks, or has on very small amount.
As far as Flynn is concerned, I find him more handsome, yet not the most handsome. Still better than Aladdin. Also, I am not saying that Flynn has a better personality than Aladdin. I am saying that people idealize Aladdin.
I think people are closer to how the Flynn is portrayed to be in the film when talking to him. With Aladdin, they seem like they totally forget some things and create others.
