Yeah, Clara from Heidi was in a wheelchair. I think she also had asthma or something. In Drawn Together, the princess (by the same name, go figure) had a mentally challenged sister that would only recite lines from the movie I Am Sam.

A mentally challenged princess could still be someone to look up to. People look up Quasimodo even though he's physically deformed. Yes, we would feel sorry for the princess but there could be a cute story giving her a happily ever after. It was just a thought. Besides, how is a girl who does nothing but sing and sleep any more admirable than a mentally challenged princess?

I feel a lot more people can relate to a physically challenged princess because EVERYONE can be physically challenged.

However, NOT everyone can be mentally challenged.

I agree with dweeb on this one. Why is it okay for the men to be deformed but not for the girls? I personally dont want a deformed Princess, I'm just saying. So boys can be ugly, but girls cant? It doesnt make sense.

Btw I dont want an unhealthy overweight Princess, I just want one thats a little more 'chubby' than the Princesses as of right now. My other choice would be the "plain/ugly" option but Mulan's kinda plain if you ask me.

Well, I was thinking of plain/ugly more along the lines of they really focus in on her ugliness/plainess. with mulan its really never mentioned.

Not to mention, Mulan is clearly prettier than the other females we briefly see in the film. And the only thing the Matchmaker says is bad about her appearance is "too skinny" which is not relatable because most girls are being told by the media they're not skinny ENOUGH.

An evil princess would be a great twist.
The Prince would be all: "You're acting crazy, -Insert name here-"
And then she'd do that bit out of Scream and be all: "We all go a little crazy sometimes. Want some corn syrup?"

I personally think an anti-hero type princess would be pretty awesome, really. :) Or even a villainous one! :D

Though I feel Mulan is, and Belle is easily a hipster. Not Ariel.
