I never thought she was beautiful. Only in some merchandise art when she's all dressed up do I think she looks nice. But most of the time I don't think she's pretty. Not even in her "geisha" makeup.

I don't see how she couldn't be beautiful. She has a natural beauty, rather than a unrealistic one like the other Princesses.
She has that lovely Chinese curve to her face, the exotic slant of Jasmine's eyes, the cute little nose like Pocahontas and those amazing lips. She has that lovely slim body that is in wonderful proportion and she looks amazing in everything she wears - ever armour.
The other Princesses rely on looking feminine for beauty - Mulan does not. She just has it.
