Well, I liked it. Because it was actually the first time when the Beast was thinking of someone else' wants other than his own. I'm 21 now and I melted at that scene.
It's a shame that this scene is being voted off as well...
Anyway, I really like this scene because it reveals another part of the Beast's character, how he changes. He's shy and insecure at first, going to Belle at the bench, and then when he sees Belle is upset, it hurts him. However, what hits me the most is when he looks forward after he hears Belle being upset, and he has this selfless/determined look in his face which pretty much says, "Even though this will hurt me, and I will be stuck like this if I do this, I am letting her go because I want her to be happy."
It just tugs at my heart. It's an amazing contrast compared to how he was in the beginning of the movie.
I love it so much. First, how Belle's shy, and the Beast wants to say her something, but he can't. And they feel that something happened, but both are so shy. Then, he's happy because she says she's happy with him there, he understands that maybe, probably he has a chance! But wait, she wants to see her father. Okay, he lets her to see him. And when he sees the suffering of her father, and sees the love (LOVE which he's only learning to feel), her true love to her dad, he understands, that if he doesn't let her go, he'll be the same selfish boy which he used to be. And he doesn't want to be, because Belle showed him, what it means to love and to be loved. So, he allows her to go.. Does she understand how difficult it was for him? And then his touching words (best line ever said by a Disney Prince): Because... I love her... AWWWW!
Well, sorry, I wrapped up. I love it.
It's such a sad scene... but it truly shows the Beast's character change, my favorite part of him as a character. He finally isn't only thinking of himself; at the beginning of the movie, he would've refused to let Belle go, and now... he let her :'( . I love this scene, and the whole movie for that matter very much.
