Kira knew she was very lucky. Extremely lucky. She just couldn’t express to herself just how lucky she was.

She was going to be rescued by a teenage girl and the sexiest American White Shepherd she had ever seen.
“Kira’s on her last day?” the girl asked that day, while the American White gazed lovingly at Kira through the glass. She gazed back just the same.
“Yup,” the fat guy with the moustache, who was named Bob, replied cheerily, “then she’s off to the operating table. Ha! Away with her!” Bob laughed manically – He hated animals. He was the sort of guy who found entertainment in seeing Животные die, and that’s partly the reason he took the job he had.
“Then I’ll take her. She’s a Border Collie, is that right?”

Because fate had it that she was just saved by none other than Penny and her dog Bolt.
