He's that comfort blanket many children need as they develop. Plank absorbs his woes and worries, and plays the confidence role Jonny himself can't. He's also there to nurture Jonny's social skills, because in case you haven't noticed, Jonny's pretty awkward and doesn't have any HUMAN friends.
