You could say that Ed Sheeran is to the GRAMMYs what Leonardo DiCaprio is to the Oscars (or what Craig David was to the BRIT Awards that time.) Basically he\'s always nabbing those nominations, but is yet to win a shiny gong for his cabinet. That could all change this year, though, \'cos he\'s threatened to boycott the ceremony if he doesn\'t go home with one of those gold gramophone thingies.

We say \'boycott;\' it\'s more that he\'ll just admit defeat and not bother going in future tbh. 

Ed revealed that he\'d originally planned on swerving this year\'s big awards show, which takes place in California on February 15th, but says he\'s changed his mind *just* in case 2016 happens to be his year. Which, let\'s face it, it probably will be.

Joking abahhhht with The Sun, Ed said: "I wasn\'t going to attend even after getting nominated, because I\'ve been the last three years and always lost. I\'ve known I\'m not going to win so I get smashed before.

"But then it\'s going to be sod\'s law that this would be the year I get it if I didn\'t go. So I\'m going to go and if I don\'t get it, I won\'t go again. 

"I\'m not going to go to the party. I\'m going to go to the awards then bugger off straight away. Every year you go to the party and at some point there\'s someone you really respect and want to meet but you\'re too f**ked."​

This time round our Edward\'s up for Song of the Year with \'Thinking Out Loud,\' Record of the Year for Multiply and Best Pop Solo Performance, and lbr he\'s probably gonna end up going home with at least one of \'em if there\'s any justice/sense in the world.
