The Levels of Fanpopage

As I see it there are 3 levels of Fanpopage. In this soapbox I have defined these levels for my entertainment and hopefully yours too.
1. The Sometimes User- These are the users who get on 1-3 times a week mainly just to check messages and a few of their Избранное spots. They don't spend enough time to add a whole lot of content (if any). The еще avid users would say, "They just haven't be bitten by the Fanpop bug yet."
2. The Devoted User- Those users who spend a few hours on Fanpop everyday and add a fair amount of content. And while they are invested in Fanpop, they do have a life other than...

Эй, guys i couldn't really find a link или anything about the Fanpop chat, so this is basically my guide about the functions, a bit about etiquette and a few tips thrown in here and there. I have also researched a Список of all the meebo emotions and all the different keyboard shortcuts for the users that where asking, hopefully some of Ты will find it useful. Ты don't need to check everything out, although it appears lengthier than it is, everything is, as always set in to subheadings for those of Ты who like to scan Статьи :D, enjoy.

Fanpop User's Guide: Reporting

This part of my user's guide covers the reporting mechanism and how to use it to maintain good content on the site. It was last updated on 25 December 2009.

As Ты continue to use Fanpop, Ты will come across content that is not what it should be in some way. Since Fanpop is largely only as good as the content it contains, it is important to address these issues for the good of the site and the Fanpop community.

Now, most of the content that "is not what it should be" is likely just content that Ты don't like, and such content should be rated appropriately (see the link). But, rarely, there...

Well....I have....quite recently....today in fact.

It started when I created my new Proboards site, link a few days ago. I was so excited, because I just helped my friend with hers and she has over 30 или еще members on it, so I was hoping I would get the same feedback.

Day one-1 Member...a friend of mine.

Day two-no members.

Day three-14 guests, no members.

Day four-still no members.

Today was день five, and I got one member...who told me he was confused and сказал(-а) I need to remodel it. What...

Do Ты ever find when Ты make a spot it is always Ты adding all the time with the odd add from another user? That even when Ты get over 100 Фаны to the spot its can still be just Ты adding all the time. Till one день Ты can't add any еще или Ты don't want to. I have found this a problem with a few of my spots where it is just me adding page after page of Видео and links.

So basicly this is just me asking every Фан please just go to a spot that hasnt been updated in a while and just add one thing to it please !!! (and i know this sounds like a charity advert lol)

Panic! Something isn't working!

I am here to talk about the "report" button. It seems not many of us know of this button when it comes to videos, Ссылки etc and would rather just say "it doesn't work *cry*", so here is a step by step of what to do.

1. If the video Ты are trying to watch is not working and does not say "video broken или no longer here" click on the title. This will bring Ты to the page where the video first came from.

2. If the video definately does not work click the little flag.

3. Once you've clicked it there will be an assortment of options to choose from. Choose wisely though and appropriately....

I want to start by saying that I think it is absolutely brilliant. I visit several times a день and there is always something new to see. In my eyes that is the beauty of it right?

I Любовь that although its is a somewhat controlled environment (which is a good thing) we are pretty much able to voice our opinion on what we like and what we don't like.

I joined Fanpop because I Любовь to share videos, photos, Статьи and pretty much anything else that has to do with a common interest. I will confess that I am a major Фан of the office. I Любовь to share any bit of office news with people who will appreciate...

Bulk posting kills Ключевые слова

Okay this soapbox sadly, is going to point fingers so people can learn from this. I don't like having to point fingers but it seems no one gets the message across if it isn't done.

What is bulk posting? It's when Ты post multiple things all at the same time. So when Ты do that the Ключевые слова Ты give are going to be the same for every single thing Ты post.

Why do people bulk post? Well the excuse used can be "I want to share great content with others" but really it turns еще into a quantity over quality.

Why is this harming keywords? When people bulk post they only put a general amount of keywords...
