One thing that's becoming еще and еще prominent as time goes on, is that people online don't feel the need to use good grammar and spelling. Now, despite the fact that when on IM или whatevs, it's really fine to use all of these little abbreviations like "jk" "lol" "atm" etc. etc. etc. Before I get any farther into this uncontrolled rant, let me just say that I do use some internet slang. Most of this, however, are words that I make up. So, whatevs, deelie, yuppers, wazhappenin, etc. etc. etc. I'm not one to use mainstream slang other than "lol" because there is NO replacement for LOL. No,...

Ok, now I know that there are other Статьи out there about keeping Fanpop clean in terms of language and being appropriate but it is obviously not enough seeing as people continue to ignore it.

I am not by any means trying to be rude или bossy. I am not your mother. My goal in Письмо this is hopefully a common one among Fanpop users, to make Fanpop a joyful place for all users.

Today's Fanpop has еще people mean and sarcastic then others. I'm not against it, but I don't have to be.

For those "yelled" at constantly, that means you're doing something WRONG! And it only leads to disaster. What might Ты do wrong?
• Spamming
• Spelling names wrong
• Using incorrect grammar
• Posting miscategorized pictures, picks, questions(answers), etc. to a spot
• Hating on the person's spot
• Impersonating a celebrity
• Making a hate spot

If Ты do any of those things, Ты WILL be yelled at или sarcastically talked to. And don't be...

Okay, for the past two months I have steadily grown addicted to this website. Maybe it's all the free time I have these days, или maybe it's just I have an addictive personaily. It could of course be that this website is pure brilliance and I constantly think about it. Does that make me sad? No way! Because I can bet I'm not the only one. I felt like Письмо about the constant reposting of Иконки from livejournal, because I have become a very active lj user in the past months and I know of many lj people who are annoyed as hell to see their Иконки Опубликовано here.

First of all I'd like to say that I did it too. Yes, I took Иконки that were Опубликовано on livejournal and Опубликовано them here with credit.
Now Ты might say: Okay, but if people credit them, why is there a problem? It's not as if the lj people own the original pictures they icon.

To like или not to like? That is the question.

Earlier tonight, the ratings system of Fanpop experienced a massive overhaul. No longer can Ты rate content on a scale of one to five (ala YouTube), but if Ты like content, Ты can "like" it (ala Facebook), или "be a fan" of it.

Dave gave a very good, logical explanation for the change to help assuage some fears and answer some questions:

Re-reading the various Статьи about promoting клубы on Fanpop, it occurred to me that some fairly basic ideas were missing for promoting the клубы Ты like (not just the ones Ты create, but any клубы Ты enjoy).

Many of the Назад etiquette Статьи and Форум threads have described things to avoid in promoting a club, as well as suggestions for things to do. For once, I'm not going to rant about undesirable behavior (that's the plan, anyway), but just keep the focus on other things Фаны can try to promote their Избранное clubs.
