On April 1, the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul stated that a member of SNSD was investigated by police on the night of March 30. The story goes that Hyoyeon and a male friend were playing around at an acquaintance’s секунда floor house in Seobbinggo when the issue happened.
SNSD Hyoyeon Investigated by Police for Hitting Male Friend
Hyoyeon joked to the male friend that she was going to jump off, and as the male friend tried to hold her back, she tried to push him away from her, hitting him near the eye during the process.
The male friend called the police for an assault charge. The male friend and Hyoyeon were investigated by police twice on March 30 and March 31.

SM Entertainment later stated in a press release on April 1, "Hyoyeon was playing around with a friend when the joke escalated and a misunderstanding happened, leading to the police report.
