Analysis of Sexism in Halo 3: ODST 

apparentlty the ones that wrote that artical, dont know much about the UNSC, ONI was looked down upon by everyone else and for CAPT Dare, its no different, shes an ONI spook, and everyone else was doubtful. Secondly about that "damsel in destress" crap, if i was stuck in that pod with nothing other than an SMG and a pistol and Dozens of covenant were bearing down on me, id stay in that pod too untill help arrived, so that no covenant could get to me. Also being the only female in that story, there was bound to be some sexist remarks, IE the first cutseen, but thats reality, DEAL WITH IT. and the epilouge, SGTMAJ Johnson may be enlisted and CAPT Dare may be an officer, but there is no way a 20+ year career SGTMAJ would ever take crap from a 6 yr CAPT, his experience goes far beyond hers and he is a front line Marine, not some ONI spook that sits behind a desk most of the time

oh and another thing, Dare IS an unlockable character, you have to beat the game on legendary
