slash is two people say like Ron Harry together as a couple. its sick, and i dont have any thing against gay couples either, it just doesnt fit with some situations.

More simply put: slash is a homosexual ship.

Gheh. I like both slash and Hermione/Severus.

What I don't like:
- Mary Sue's.
- Gothics/Punkers/Alternative people. Don't get me wrong: I don't dislike them in real life or anything, but I really dislike it when a writer makes a character like this just because they like this style themselves. It is especially bad when they make Ron a goth or Draco a punker. These are usually also the writers who write Mary Sue's.
- Bad spelling, bad grammar, no paragraphs, chat speak, no capitals, no interpunction.
I don't understand how anyone can think the last three are ok. It is not.
No pararaphs is just annoying to read: I don't even bother reading such story's and I think a writer always wants people to read their story's, so it's kind of stupid.
Bad spelling and bad grammar sometimes isn't the writer's fault since for a lot of people English isn't their first language. But often a beta-reader will help you a lot, even if it's just for typo's and quick-made mistakes.
- Out of character (OOC). Especially in the 'impossible' ships it is sometimes hard to keep the characters in character and let them fall in love with each other and because of this I can stand a little OOC-ness, but it can go to far. I don't want a sweet Snape, a dumb Hermione or a non-loyal Ron. It is very hard to write some ships in characters (which I way there are very few fics that I really like), but don't start it if you can't do it.
Or write AU. Then I know I don't have to start it :P.
- Ignoring canon (unless people say it's AU). But don't pretend to write canon-compliant and then don't.

Anyone seen the many time turner fics where Hermione goes back in time and Snape/Sirius/Remus/James/Peter fall in love with her? I've seen so many where Snape and Remus fall in love with her. *sighs* It's all fine, b/c fanfiction is for these sorts of things, but it's just that certain topics are SO POPULAR and are everywhere!

I agree i got nothing against gays but it just doesn't fit with HP!
I also dislike Harry/Hermionie fics why it's obv. Ron n Hermionie shud be together!!!!
