before harry potter was release do you have any idea of any witch and wizard movie intentionally for children was shown in movies? what inspires J.K. rowling to write books about witches and wizard for children?

The 1971 Disney movie "Bedknobs and Broomsticks" was about witches, and included a school for witches and magic. I've never seen it, but I've heard it's really great, magical kid's movie!
