Sorry, I couldn't find a better picture of James.

When James was young he was an arrogant bully. I kind of wish at some point in the books we'd had more about him as an adult, because with most of what was written about nice guy James being heard second hand instead of an actual scene we saw I have a hard time liking his character at all, even though I'm aware he changed and ended up being a good guy who sacrificed his life for his family.

you must know something ，snape was a Slytherin，everyone was going to be a deatheater at 70’，so it was a tragic to younge snape，there was so huge gap between snape and lily。I am so sorry about younge snape。JK said snape would never to be a deatheater if life once again

and deatheater does not mean a bad guy。

Young James is a right tw@t in my opinion. Snape was only a little better.

II picked Snape because James was rude to him in his younger years. Snape never did anything wrong to him. Also if it wasnt for Snape, Lily would have never went to Hogwarts ^.^

james was ok when he was older but we didnt see the transition of change...only heard about it from others: Dumbledore, Mcgonagall, Lupin and Sirius.

Only because Snape wasn't that bad when he was a teenager, and James was.

^Why is making his prsence known important? And honestly think both were more or less either a bully or a racist / muggleborn racist(?) so both were very bad in some points , but i prefer Snape , at least he was (probably) kinder than James , or Sirius ...

I find Snape's Dark Arts fascination even worse than James' idiotic bullying.
