I prefer books because in movies you don't get the feel of everything, you can't just keep re-reading it over, well, you can pause and rewind, but in a book you can know what the characters are going through. You recognize everything, it's not in a spur-of-the-moment thought, you can see it clearly, as if it's all slow motion.
I find duels in books more satisfying, plus, in movies, they can't just have a whole slow-motion fight scene, it'd look weird and out of place, and I don't blame them, movies try their best, but books will always beckon to me, and with a good author, they fulfill the daily dosage of bad guy butt kicking I need.
they almost ignored Sirius-Bellatrix duel...Snape-McGonagall,Molly-Bellatrix was poorly done...the only one they paid a little attention to was Dumbledore-Voldemort duel...but i didn't like that either(fire+water=blah)
I prefer duels in the books because I like to imagine this by myself. Besides, most of duels in the films is too short for me.

Overall in the movies you get to SEE the action.
Besides, the movies don't have all of the duels.
