I'm not sure why they've re-written the character of Julia as an alcoholic, but I am looking forward to seeing what Helena brings to the role.

For those who don't know, Dark Shadows was a daytime soap opera that aired on ABC from 1966-1971. In 1967, in an effort to boost ratings, a vampire character, Barnabas Collins, was introduced. He became hugely popular. Johnny Depp will be playing Barnabas in a new movie adaption, set to begin filming in May.
