I'll admit it's too early for me to honestly select, as I haven't seen any Italian, New Zealand, or Australian horror movies yet. But I've recently watched several French movies, and my family was surprised by how grotesque they were. I guess we all think of the French as being either moody or sexy. Not gross!

the US has produced some of the greatest franchises of all time. Not that other countries haven't produced great movies.

The US has some great ones, but I don't think I've ever seen a bad Japanese horror film. They really know how to scare you over there.

They just do not hold back and its more styilized than most horror today which is just cuts and lost of gore boring
