Although there are many talented female vocalists in the K-pop industry, some have stood out among the rest. 

In fact some of the top music companies in the country, including top agencies such as SM, YG, and JYP, recently participated in a survey to determine the top three young female singers right now. And although many names were mentioned, including Ailee, Lee Hi, SISTAR‘s Hyorin, and EXID‘s Solji, among others, the companies selected Girls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon, Apink‘s Eunji, and solo singer IU as the top three candidates, with Taeyeon ranking first and Eunji and IU tied for second.
