Yes, in Jermaine's book, Michael's name was "Michael Joe Jackson." He's been called Michael Joseph Jackson for a while since then. We know Joe is short for Joseph, even Joseph was called Joe most of the time. But his birth name was Michael Joe Jackson, as told by Jermaine. When Michael denounced himself as a JW, i've never heard anything about him changing his name. His drivers license, and also the court documents from 2005, say "Joe", but some other legal documents, like the autopsy report, say "Joseph". Seems like he used both, или that some people have misunderstood his name. I haven't heard that he has ever changed his name.
