CHAPTER 5



Michael waited at the steps of the house.
Two hours past and jet nothing happened still.
Another час added on to that and he started to get worried. “What if something happened to her?”He asked himself “What if something Skulduggery Pleasant killed her?”Michael thought a lot to himself. He started to pace, “No, of course not, she’s fine. Just running a bit late,” He сказал(-а) to himself, “But I’m going to phone her anyway. Just to make sure.” He raced into the house and grabbed the phone. He dialled the number and in the секунда ring she answered, “This is a bad time!” she yelled.
“Where are you!?” Michael asked impatiently. Then all of a sudden Michael heard a loud bang that came from the phone.
“Alex. Alex are Ты okay!?” Michael yelled into the phone.
“I’m fine don’t worry about it,” she whispered
“What was that?” he asked confused, then another bang went off,
And the phone cut. He slammed the phone down and started to weep.............................................................
After a few hours the phone rang and Michael picked it up immediately.

“You sure, what was that noise?” He asked

“What are Ты talking about?” He asked confused
“I was shot, but don’t worry I’m fine now!” she сказал(-а) between coughs
“Alex Ты were shot, how can Ты be fine?” Michael questioned

“Michael.......”
“Is she going fine?” Michael сказал(-а) interrupting him.
“Don’t talks just listen?” Kenspeckle commanded
“But ...............” Michael stuttered

“Diamond is fine after all i am the greatest medical scientist this world will ever know, well getting to the point if Ты wish to see her I will send someone to fetch you.” Kenspeckle exclaimed
“Yes I would like to see Alex.” Michael whispered
“Very well, send someone to fetch you,”

He stood up and gracefully walked outside to go wait for whoever Kenspeckle sent to pick him up, after a few минуты past a 1954 Bentley came up the driveway and reared it in the parking. “What did u do to her?” He accused.
“NOTHING, I have done nothing to her and wish for the conversation to end and if I don’t get what I want. I’ll become your worst nightmare understand”.

“True, but don’t scare me like that again.” He spoke in hush tone.
“You’re coming home. Right?” he asked

“Properly not...............we have a meeting at the sanctuary. She explained
“But Ты where shoot, can’t they give Ты a break?” he asked
Oh and who’s diamond?” He questioned me.
“Me, how can Ты not know you’re only daughters taken name.....?
It’s sad really.” she stated.
“Never mind that...so what have Ты been up to?”
“Nothing just contemplating, whether или not I should tell Ты my amazing idea или not.” she said
“And!” Michael motioned for her to continue.
“Well it’s not that important anymore.” she stuttered

“Just listen.” he сказал(-а) cutting her off
“Fine!”She said.
“Then it’s important to me and don’t lie I can tell it’s important!” Michael stated.
“And how exactly do Ты do that?” Alex asked
“It’s a father’s instinct!” Michael boosted
“You’ve only been my father for + - 2 days and I’ll tell Ты when we go home.”
“So when do Ты get to come home?” Michael asked
“Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh you’ll have to ask skulduggery about that.”
“What do Ты have to ask me?” Skulduggery сказал(-а) walking towards them
“When can she come home?” Michael asked
“Now”
“What about the meeting?” Alex asked
“ohh it’s cancelled I’ll take Ты back now”
