I'm so not a fan of Ben Affleck or of the Superman character/movies. My friend saw it and said it sucked. Even without her review though I had no plans to ever see it.

I actually really enjoyed it. I really didn't like Superman until i watched this movie which showed me him in a new light. Ben Affleck wouldn't have been my first choice either but he actually pulled off the role quite well introducing new aspects into batman's personality giving him a more human feel which worked well with the 'man vs god' undertone which was mainly introduced with Lex Luther's dialogue. I really think that you should give it a go, the characters were amazing (definitely my favorite Lex Luther) and so was the plot (though some say it may be a bit disjointed). I was literally on the edge of my seat through out the whole movie and i was punching my sister during the film in order to get rid of some energy which was created by the excitement and suspense the film gave me. and the soundtrack was fucking amazing. don't expect it to be anything like the avengers or other marvel movies. it is dark and it questions the world around it and human nature kind of like the dark knight.

I asked around and most people said it wasn't good and didn't live up to their expectation. I'm so not sure why's that cuz I enjoyed it a lot.

before i went to the cinema i looked up the ratings and saw 28% on rotten tomatoes and i almost didn't go, I'm so glad i decided against that because it was amazing. it's so cool to know others think the same way. it is interesting though the comparison between the critics and the audience's responses. I wonder what the critics saw that the normal audience didn't or vice versa for such contrasting results. I, for one, have no idea how it amounted to 28% as i found to be one of my favorite movies.
