This is such a wonderful film. Even though the plot has been done before (Dead Poet's Society, Mr. Holland's Opus, etc.) this film goes above and beyond and is both heartbreaking and heartfelt. The ending always makes me cry, but it's a good cry. :D

I loved Amelie, but Brotherhood of the Wolf was outstanding.

I liked Amelie but I thought it was very over-rated. I think A Very Long Engagement is one of the the most over-looked foreign films ever.

I'm torn between Clouzot's 'Wages of Fear' (uncut version) from 1952, and Cocteau's 'Beauty and the Beast' from 1946.

Fracis Verber is one of my top favorite directors, he also did the Dinner Game (Diner du Cons) which is another favorite of mine. I love French films, but I haven't seen that many.

I lovee Banlieue 13. It's a much better movie in French than it is in English though.
I also really love Taxi (the first one was the best! Also in French)
