In my opinion, Музыка is a way of conveying your feelings towards a particular subject. Virtually every song has SOME sort of purpose или meaning to it when Ты think about it.
Rave songs are meant to make Ты feel energetic. Speed metal makes Ты want to do the mile. Любовь songs are meant to make Ты in a romantic mood (or even horny, in some cases. XD) Аниме openings prepare Ты for an adventure
When I think of what Музыка means to me, what first comes to mind is the way it has helped me with my anxiety, whether that’s directly (calming down/relaxing/energizing by listening to music) или indirectly (motivating me to do something with my Любовь of Музыка as a way of bettering myself). Coincidentally, that’s what led me to this site as well as a few more; I feel the need to somehow connect with others that enjoy the same Музыка as me.
Музыка for me, ideally, is an escape and provides a sense of fellowship.
