That said, you don't really hear much modern country music. It's mostly western music that you hear nowadays, and I can't stand that. The music industry has abbreviated the "Country & Western" label to just "Country", but there is a distinction. All these modern singers wearing cowboy hats are singing modern western music. Country is stuff like yodeling, folk music from the Appalachian mountains, bluegrass, et cetera. As a singer, that stuff amazes me, it's so alien. But western music, I don't care for at all...particularly modern western music.

I used to hate it sooo much and I grew up in Texas, where it seems like everyone loves country. It's actually grown on me a lot though since I've gone off to college, and now I really enjoy listening to [most of] it.

I`m not a big fan of country music, but when we have country festivals I always go there.

Don't much care for contemporary country, but I love the old stuff like Johnny Cash, Hank Williams Sr, and Patsy Cline. I also love bluegrass- Stanley Brothers, Bill Monroe, and Gillian Welch.

I usually hate country music. I only like three Rascall Flatts songs, which is really ironic since I'm from the south.

My parents listened to a lot of country when I was young so I grew up with it, though it's not one of my favourite genres I'll still listen to it and like most of it ^^

I love country because the songs actually carry meaning. I love the stories that are told in the songs. I can relate to them alot more than I can to a pop/rock song. But I still like some pop/rock. Also a big plus in country music is most of the people can actually sing on key and they actually sing LIVE (even if they can't sing on key at least they sing live haha) Martina McBride, Reba McEntire, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, George Strait, Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks...so many greats of country music.

Taylor Swift is the BEST! But otherwise, I CAN'T STAND COUNTRY MUSIC!!!!!

Okay ya'll suck because Country music is all my life. Ya'll are suckers how rude. Country Music Rocks it does not suck unless you got to listen to it. I love it because the beautiful fiddling and others are great. I love a little bit of Pop and a little bit a rock too. But Punk sucks and I hate that type of music. Weirdos!!!
