I like both for different reasons, but the organ really speaks to my goth soul.

I must say I like both, but I like accordion a little better, since I have an accordion myself and I know how to play it. I don't have pipe organ and I don't know how to play one. Red bass accordion that I have is great for having fun, playing on some happy occasions, such as wedding receptions, or birthday parties. Accordion is a very popular musical instrument over here, in Croatia. Almost every single household has an accordion. We call it harmonika where I come from, also in most countries all over Europe and even in the rest of the world. Accordion is just an English name for this musical instrument. This is a picture of a red bass accordion. There are many different types of accordion, like a diatonic accordion. Accordion and organ may look very different to you, but they're very similar musical instruments. They both use compressed air to produce the sound, except organ are much larger in scale, usually made of wood, and it has metal pipes. Each accordion has bellows, but not all pipe organs have bellows anymore. There are other ways to bring the compressed air to the pipes now. Both organ and accordion have keyboard(s), much like a bass section (organ has a large wooden keyboard for playing a bass partition with your feet, and accordion has buttons aside, to play both hands), just like they both have several stops to control the tones they produce. I wish I could chose both, because I really really like organ music in a church, or a concert hall, but since I'm an accordion player, I had to chose accordion over organ, but if you want to know the truth, I really like organ music a lot! I mean, really a lot!

Both actually, but for some reason I prefer organ, being an Englishman myself. Pipe organ is a well established tradition in each Anglican church service held in the UK. Over here, in Germany, where I live right now with my husband, it's the other way around. Over here, in Germany, accordion is much more popular than organ, or any other musical instrument for that matter. Accordion, or die Harmonika in German, is extremely popular musical instrument, especially in folk music. Ever heard of polka anyone? Germany, much like Austria, is a home to polka music. I'm gonna spend my life in Germany, so I would suggest some compromise between UK & Germany, when it comes to music. Can I chose both, please?

I would love to attend to concert for both organ and accordion someday. That would be a great musical experience to me, since I like both organ music, just like the accordion music very much indeed!

I like both, tbh. I love organ music but the accordion sounds nice, too and looks fun to play (I've always wanted to learn play) Hard to pick, tbh, wish I could go with both.

@zanhar1 Since you like pipe organ so much, I'm surprised you still haven't heard of an Organ Music Club, here, on Fanpop! You're free to check it out & join the club, if you like. The same goes for the Accordion Club, of course. We sure need more fans in both of these clubs. The more the merrier! The choice is yours, my friend. Already a fan of both of these fan clubs myself. :-)

I like accordion better. I'm a Muslim, and there's no organ in a mosque, you know. Accordion music is much more acceptable to our people here, in Iran, although it is not that much popular over here. Christians have churches in Iran, and in those churches they must to have organs, but, being a Muslim myself, I never set foot in a church in my life, so I have no idea how the organ look like or sound like, except here, on Fanpop. There's a whole fan club made for organ. To my Muslim ears, it sounds a lot more like a thunder, or a hurricane (wind) than a music, but that's just me. My Christian friends on this site would probably like it a lot more than me. I'm just being honest. I don't want to offend anyone, but I've listen to some of the organ instrumentals in that organ fan club, and I stick to my opinion. Sorry. :-(

Okay, I just join the organ club, Mark. Anything to make you happy. Friends would do anything for a friend! Don't you agree? I mean, if I ask you to join the Islam fan club, would you become a fan for me? Or maybe you're already a fan of Islam fan club. If so, thank you for building bridges between our 2 great world religions.

Please don't make me join any more Christian fan clubs on this site, my friend!! Pretty please!!! I'm a Muslim, and a Shia Muslim, remember? I only join the organ fan club out of friendship, because you asked me to , not because I like the sound of organ music. I still like accordion music a lot more! Please don't be mad at me, my friend.
