When I see Hook in the show, he seems to have two different personas – Killian Jones and Captain Hook - which blend together to create a character which can actually be very difficult to get straight in my head. Killian Jones is arrogant, rude and sharp-tongued to the point of cruelty. He’s also hopelessly in love, prepared to die for his crew if need be and Храбрая сердцем and proud in the face of death. Mary-Margaret is VERY angry with Regina and tells her to leave Storybrooke forever because it'll be better for everyone (especially Henry.)

Regina actually 'accepts' this because she loves Henry and leaves....

The Tallahassee Flashbacks

I believe that the writers were trying to create a tragic romance in Neal and Emma's backstory, a scenario where she would realistically believe that he'd used her but in truth it'd been a sacrifice. However, it didn't fully work, not for me anyway. My main problem with their relationship in the Tallahassee flashbacks is the fact that Neal didn't need to betray Emma to the police. It's implied that the shock of being arrested and imprisoned was required to frighten Emma out of her current criminal lifestyle, but surely Neal could have simply told her that he wanted...
