If it had just been the set up, probably eventually. But he also lied to her (and Kathryn) which caused a heck of a lot of other problems. After everything... I can't say that I would.

I's forgive him for believing the setup. She has to understand the evidence was pretty great. He was confused. And, honestly, if there was a lot of evidence against him, she would have had her doubts, too. Plus, he thought he actually saw her tell him she was going to do it. Granted, it was a flashback about Regina, but he didn't know that.
