Storylines: Nate always wanted Serena from the beginning but settled for Blair. Then he actually fell for Blair but he realized she was not the girl for him (Luke went from to Peyton to Brooke to single) when her true colors came out. Only now Nate is going back to Blair? We'll see how long that lasts. As we know, the NS lovestory was never resolved. They only ended things for Blair's sake. Sound familiar? It is only season 2 of gossip girl so things could get messy in season 3 like it did for BLP...

Personality? The only thing I'd say Nate and Luke had in common was their broody ways. I know Luke has the reputation of being a "man whore" on OTH but I'd say Nate would take the crown in that department. He's had multiple ongoing affairs as opposed to Luke. Luke's really only dated/slept with 4 girls that we know of (3 of which were very serious relationships). Nate i've already lost count with and it's only been 2 seasons. Luke's artistic & athletic. Nate? Well Nate had no clue what he wanted (his storylines always seemed to wrap around women) and now he's veering toward the business side for a career.

storyline wise with nate's same inability to pick one woman like luke's id say yes, but outside of the similiar storylines i don't think they are anything alike

Well as a die hard BL lover & Serenate lover I have to disagree LOL. Nate full on settles for other girls, lasts with them about 4 episodes max but Lucas actually fell in love with Brooke. One season he spent pining for her & the other just being with her so I don't see the connection except for the betrayal of someone they both care about.

nate has a backseat in gossip girl if you ask me. hes very boring, in oth lucas has a show thats basically around him. the only thing they have similar is there both really, really HOT.
