For me OTH is like dead.
Fine whatever it's great Lp are gone.
Honestly the show still sucks.

It's lost it's spark.

For sure. I miss the high school days. The show has never felt the same after S4 to me. I hate watching the new characters like Clay, Quinn, Alex, Millie, they all just bore me.

It's not the same show. Not even a little bit. All of the things that made it unique (greatly interwoven storylines, quotes, voice-overs, even the theme song and BASKETBALL) are all gone. Now it's just like any other teen drama only about Adults. What a BORE. I stopped watching awhile ago.

Don't even get me started lol. I could write a novel about this subject, but I won't. I'll just say that to me, this show that they air today IS NOT One Tree Hill. As far as I'm concerned, OTH died a long time ago. I watch it today (purely out of feeling obligated), and then I'll see re-runs of the older episodes... and it's just mind boggling to me that they are created/written/produced by the same person.

And I don't want to hear this crap about how "ofcourse the show is going to change, the characters can't stay in high school forever". It's NOT about the fact that they're grown up. The characters can be grown up, and the show could still be written well. But it's not. The writing, storylines, purpose, and overall quality of the show just suck now lol. It's gotten ridiculously corny, repetitive, unrelatable for viewers, and just meaningless. There is no heart or depth left whatsoever.

I miss like core 5 storylines. those were amazing. Even if we were all fighting over ships s1-s3 even kinda season 4 for me the show had this energy that it doesn't have anymore.

I miss season 1-6,is should be more like them,and with Lucas and Peyton,Bevin,i miss alot of them.

Of course I do. It's not the same, especially after Season 6.

In my opinion it hasn't been the old OTH in a long time. Since season 5 to be precise. But the biggest difference to me is that the characters have a whole lot other problems to face, adult problems. It's not bad writing, it's real...well, most of the time :D It still feels like the old OTH even though two of the most important characters are gone now. Of course we have different storylines now, maybe even repetitive ones, there are different relationships that came along with the new characters. I still love it but sometimes, when I re-watch episodes from the first 4 seasons, I do miss it. I miss the characters' recklessness (in a positive way of couse :D) and the easy-going storylines like "Who dates who?"...that's pretty much everything that I miss. From time to time there actually are episodes like that but it was kind of rare in season 7...and it barely existed in season 6! These "blown-away" episodes like 3x16 or 4x09, that's the kind of episode that I miss. But, trying not to sound all negative right now, 8x01 was amazingly good. I still love this show more than any other show but I wouldn't compare it to its highschool seasons...which were basically perfect! <3

Sometimes. The old OTH is dead and gone. They couldn't keep it up forever. A flame that hot could only carry on for so long. I woulda been happy to see the show end on a high note (at the end of season 4 or 6). At least I woulda been able to look back on the show with happy thoughts and watch great reruns (excluding season 2). Season 7 and 8 feel like spin-offs to me. It's not just because LP are gone. It's just not the OTH we know and love. Season 5 was the last strong season IMO. Season 6 limped on - Leyton had the strongest storyline so I appreciated the energy in their plot line. But outside of that, the spark had fizzled. So I guess it woulda been nice if I could look back on OTH for the amazing show it was instead of forcing myself to decide that season 7 and 8 don't count :/
And agreed with Kelly about the corny, repetitive, depthless scenes...

Who doesn't miss it honestly ?Season 7 was an EPIC FAIL and i doubt season 8 would be to different.It's not cause of Leyton honestly it's cause of Mark.The cast is great they have amazing actors but crap story lines.Old oth was way better for sure.

I only miss Jake & Peyton :D But I don't miss the old one. I mean they can't be kids forever, they have their own lives after the high school and it's awesome we can see how they live after school.

I miss a lot of things, not everything though. Mainly I miss the way the show used to actually be good!

I defiantly do but like everything else we have to be able to grow with the show before it goes off the air!!! I know I'm going to miss it when it's gone so I'm enjoying what I have the now!!

It's just not the same since Lucas and Peyton left. You can't get rid of two main characters and expect it to be the same. It's like half of the show is missing. Plus, I don't really care too much for the new characters.
