honestly and i know you guys will jump down my throat for this but i think its pathetic its been years since they were last together and she still wakes up every morning thinking of him(its a little unrealistic) although peyton hasn't been bothering me that much lately she seems so desperate for lucas i bet there are better guys then luke.... honestly i don't know why she is fighting so hard if he won't do the same for her, every girl deserve someone that treats her right and he not doing that for her.... he is waiting for lindsey but he won't wait for her? she should find a guy that will love her more then lucas does/did, instead of looking like an idiot holding on to him and waiting for him even though he won't do that for her

lizisme, given what you just said, i'm surprised you want brucas together when you know luke treated brooke even worse than he's treating peyton now: He cheated on her and hung out with peyton ++ in season 3 when he was officially with brooke (which made her feel insecure all the time).

I'm not saying that brucas fans shouldn't love brucas, but I figured that if the fans loved brooke enough they'd now realize that she deserves better than Brucas. She was always insecure, felt like she had to always chase after him and never felt like Luke let her "all the way in" (she quoted that in s3e22). Brucas fan or not, I think brooke deserves a LOT better - like Owen who treated her right.

Luke's been treating peyton like crap this season but he never did it when they were together like he did with brooke. as for peyton still loving luke, part of it's because they never had closure. and you can't help who you love. Plus, luke's been dropping hints that he feels the same way (the night he embraced her told her that the bartender wasn't good enough for her; giving a look that could kill when he saw Chase kissing peyton; kissing her the same night he proposed to lindsey; writing a SECOND book about peyton; chasing her around the club in 5.07 much to lindsey's dismay and more). Given the fact that Lundsey's split, peyton can't help but hope that luke MIGHT return to her. SPOILER ALERT: but after 5.17, I think you'll be happy to see Peyton really decide to move on.

OK but heres the thing i disagree with some of that i think that lucas was completly in love with Brooke or else he wouldn't of tried to get back with her after they broke up. and when you said there were days that went by and they did even have a meaningful conversation well i think thats because they were drifting apart keith had just died and then lucas left with his mom. (i think that if keith hadn't died they would of never broken up) the only reason that brooke felt unloved or that lucas never fully loved her is because by the time the keith thing blew over it was too late because she found out about him kissing peyton, she felt like he wasn't there for her which i think was only because the timing of everything.but if you look back on there relationship like in the rain episode i think her completly loved her and he was there for her. And though i do think she deserves better there is something about lucas he always makes up for his mistakes and owen is great but now he is gone plus the browen moments were not even in comparison to the brucas ones.
ok so i do see all of your points but honestly i fell in love with their relationship they had so much chemistry i think even though there were bad moments i think the good ones in their relatioship out number the bad ones and plus now that there older and more mature i think they would make an even better couple....
if brooke was able to find a great guy and it wasn't lucas i would love that relationship too but brucas will always be my favorite.
btw i hate chase i think he thought he was better then brooke like brooke had to prove herself to him, a little off topic but my point is that it wouldn't bother them not being together if brooke had an awesome guy but her best relationship was with lucas, plus idk why but i like lucases character better when he is with brooke.

luke should fight for her because right now he doesnt deserve her...but i cant help but love everything peyton does. shes so inspiring and bold and deep. i think that her writing on the rivercourt with lyrics to "love song" is absolutely fitting. its like shes finally becoming the person she used to be again.

besides regardless of how much crap mark schwann is putting me through with all of these anti-leyton scenes and lucas being an idiot scenes, im will always love leyton. (after the kinda brucas scene in last episode i almost gave up hope, but im still 100 percent leyton. endgame.)

lizisme, them falling in love with their reunion did pretty much exempt his cheating, but the morning after brucas reunited, luke ran off with peyton, no questions asked. then brooke's insecurities surfaced all over again - throughout their relationship in s3. Despite luke's numerous efforts to silence brooke's insecurities and treat her right, brooke fell out of love with luke. she couldn't even tell peyton she loved luke. she couldn't even disagree with rachel when rachel said brooke didn't love luke anymore.

it's your opinion if you think luke was completely in love with her after they broke up. but Luke seemed fine after they broke up. He wasn't brooding in his room or really talking about it. He ended up running to peyton the same night and they hung out the whole time he claimed he was trying to get brooke back. First time he waited for brooke at her fav store (which was peyton's idea)...with Peyton and left with her "happily". Second time he approached her and she snuffed him off, he chucklingly said he approached her cause he was hoping they could be friends. Third time he gave up and said he wasn't the guy for her at a house party. Then he and brooke DID try again in 4.08 and they both agreed that they didn't have the love in whitey's speech and happily agreed to be friends.

You can blame brucas' break-up on circumstances if you want, but brooke said that she felt like she was hanging on to him to protect him from what he'd been going through with keith, basketball, and school. like she was hanging onto the two of them for Luke and not for herself. So she obviously felt her and luke weren't meant to be BEFORE keith died link - 0:37-0:47.
and with kissing peyton, brooke said it wasn't about Peyton (at first she said she thought it was, but then she said "it's not about her"). and them going days without a meaningful convo started long before keith died. The better part of the time, they talked sexy talk. a relationship can only last so long on that. if anything, their relationship got deeper AFTER keith died.

It's not that luke needed to grow as a boyfriend, he was a great boyfriend to peyton. It's the person he was with that changed how he treated a girl. He even treated lindsey better than he did brooke (even though he also made lindz feel insecure because of how he was with none other than peyton). but at least luke called lindsey when they were apart and had deep convos with her all the time.

and yeah, brooke will always love luke... on a lower level, but not the kind of love that would make her sad or aching to pursue him again; and she doesn't cry about it cause she knows her and luke aren't meant to be. She said it herself, she's been the "lindsey" between peyton and luke and it's not a good place to be. She also admitted proudly that "it has always been Lucas and Peyton. you guys are meant to be together it's the way it's supposed to be." That's also been said about leyton by numerous characters in the show. Has anything like that EVER been said about brucas?

Luke left peyton in L.A. high and dry cause he felt heartbroken when she didn't say yes to his proposal. and luke hasn't dropped numerous hints to brooke that he still loves her like he did with peyton in s5 (deep gazing into eachother's eyes, luke embracing peyton and telling peyton the bartender wasn't good enough for her, luke and peyton having a heated convo about their break-up in 5.06, luke KISSING peyton in 5.07, writing a SECOND book about her; I could go on). Peyton's hanging on the the old luke that keeps resurfacing time and time again from the new crappy luke.

and you're saying you see my point but your counter arguments are mostly you claiming you love brucas. It's great that you love brucas and you think they have amazing chemistry and that you enjoy their scenes 10x more than browen scenes, but that doesn't change the undeniable evidence that's been shown all season that luke's heart still truly lies with peyton. No offense, but I think your loving brucas clouds your arguments.
