Even though the 3 stars of this movie are famous hollywood stars, they totally embody their roles and do an awesome job of playing Elinor, Marianne and Mr. Edward Ferrars.

I watched this with my cousin, and as we were really into it at the time it made it really fun. Also, Mr. Knightly is my hero!

Persuasion is subtle and sublime.

Jeremy Northam's best role was in Emma, but S&S's entire cast was superb.

I love the subtlety of Persuasion, the depth of emotion conveyed in tiny little things. Like the way the Captain and Anne never look at each for very long and the way he notices she's tired and helps her into the carriage. There's so much intensity there, just under the surface. I love that everyone is completely oblivious to it but them. It's so sweet and beautiful. I think Amanda Root and Ciaran Hinds did wonderfully.

you should add Northanger Abbey. I really love it.

Emma, this adaptation with Gwyneth and Jeremy, I love it.. Then Sense and Sensibility (1995)

I like the 1980s version the best actually. They sell it in a boxed set with all the other versions of films based on Jane Austen books that the BBC made around that same time. Like the 2008 version as well. This however is my favorite of these! :) Like different versions of the others FAR more!

I love the 2009 adaptation of Emma, but I'm not a fan of the one with Gwyneth Paltrow.
