I think people would be more inclined to die for a loved one obviously.
You could argue that you would be less likely to die for a stranger as you don't know them or have feelings for them and so its more selfless.
But I just think anyone willing to give up their life for another person is selfless.

the question wasn't "would you die for someone" the question is if it's better to die for a stranger or for a loved one"
that would have to be the decision of the one that's giving up their life. but I think dying for a loved one has more meaning.
but I wouldn't want nobody to die by causes other than natural ones.

Umm... Wouldn't dying for someone else be considered a form of suicide??

i think it would be sort of expected of you to die for your loved one isn't it ... however dying for someone you don't even know would show how selfless you can be. it's better definitely as it would show you as a stronger character.

You have to be really moral and brave person to die for a stranger.

I hope I never have to die for either.

Alternatively both though it is more altruistic and philanthropic to die for a stranger
