I've only read one sequel...it was about Georgiana finding romance. It was okay, but hardly anything like the original. I've read numerous other retellings of P&P, but I wouldn't consider them sequels.

I'm like chel1395 with reading retellings, but I've never read any sequels.

According to the list I've made, I've read 41 of them so far. That does not include the 280 fanfiction stories I have already read from the Bits of Ivory website.

I still have 44 more books to go, and 74 fanfiction stories from the Bits of Ivory website (and then I'll move to other websites to keep going).

I can't keep any particular storyline straight in my mind; I've seen all the single characters left at the end of the original story married off to a wide variety of characters, both ones created by Jane Austen and others born of many authors' expansive imaginations. I've seen original P&P characters die and married characters give birth to a host of children. I've read endings that have shocked me and endings that have delighted me. I've essentially seen Pride and Prejudice continue down hundreds of different paths that are so similar in some and so completely different in others that nothing really surprises me anymore.

I'm one of those people that enjoys seeing how many different takes there can be beyond "The End."

Don't want to spoil empression of the book. Austen is my fave author and her style of writing gorgeous, don't think that anyone can compare to it and make somthing worth reading

Elizabethbennet, I completely agree. It kinda dragged, in my opinion, and in the end Darcy says: "I love you" (or something along those lines). Um, Duh. Darcy you totally love Lizzy! Gosh! ;)
Anyway, it was still a good book, just wasn't THE book (P+P).

I don't want to read any. I'm afraid they will spoil the original book for me.
